Wonderful 11days in the Alpilles of Province

Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely breakfasts and plenty to eat..Staff very capable and extremely friendly and helpful. Christophe, Maurice and the 2 females at reception were all exceptional in helping us sort out car rental problems. The cleaning staff were also faultlessly efficient and flexible when we needed room access at inconsiderate times. And of course the wonderful pool amid the old olive trees, coupled with the proximity to Glanum and Les Antiques. And Van Gogh is everywhere!! Fabulous!!! Easy access to wonderful St Remy with its markets, history and bull festivals.This was our second successive visit and we saw more of the surrounding beautiful countryside of the Alpilles Mountains. So many beautiful little villages each with its own traditions.

The canicule!!! Heat was overpowering in mid August, but the pool helped a lot.Rooms well air conditioned so no sleep problems.

Fabulous stay!

The setting was beautiful, our room was incredibly comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful and recommended places to eat etc. The pool area was perfect and very relaxing. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Pleasant, relaxing, clean and friendly.

The breakfasts were amazing and so beautifully presented. Fresh and wholesome. The terrace area of our room was a nice way to spend the last hours of the day. Private and simple.

Wasn’t keen on the loo roll having to go in the bathroom bin rather than down the toilet! A little bit offputting. Also strange hours of opening and closing main building and car park so a bit of logistics around check in and out.

Poor value for the price point in service and facilities.

Ckean fresh room, nice pool.

The breakfast was a dispute. The overall standard of style and service compared very unfavourably with our other accommodations in France at this price point. We were for example asked to pay on arrival before being shown our room. Our booking didn’t include breakfast while others did at the same price. Therefore we didn’t eat here. We were nit offered the pool on arrival on a very hot day with hours to fill before check in. We were charged for our 5 day stay before being shown our room. The spa is separately charged.

Dissatisfied

Location

The bed mattress was extremely hard and gave us both back ache. The Hotel receptionist said we couldn’t have a Topper mattress to help, she suggested i should visit a pharmacy and get some heat pads. We were both Absolutely gobsmacked by her comments. She displayed shocking rudeness and utter lack of thought.

Beautiful room, property and garden, Great place to sip wine at night and watch the stars!

We LOVED the hotel, property, garden view from our room. Its a short walk to town, 5-7 mins with amazing stores and bistros. The location is amazing its near Von Gogh's museum, we highly recommend the hotel and we booked it for one more night.

We honestly loved it all!

Relaxing, clean and in a great location with free parking.

Disregard the 3 star rating of this hotel, it's better than most 4 star hotels we have been to. It's relaxed, great pool area and big rooms all within walking distance of Saint Remy.

Breakfast could improve but it's optional I suppose!

Great location, some specific cleaning needs more attention and got food positioning from breakfast.

Location is great, and love the open countryside and gardens format of the facilities and easy walk to sights as well as town. Parking is also fantastic. Appreciated the information and the friendliness of the front desk lady. Gorgeous surroundings and pool looked inviting (though I only had one night). The outside patio for the room was also lovely.

Breakfast and coffee was cleaned up over 15 minutes before it was supposed to end. I had asked for eggs (was offered on the menu, and I requested in French), and the woman overseeing breakfast said yes but then never delivered. Other people were able to get their breakfast cooking requests met. She also spoke to the other tables very kindly (in French), but then to me was quite rude (in English, and yes, my speaking French isn't prefect but I do understand well). I also got food poisoning from their breakfast, so that made for a crummy next 24-48 hrs. Lastly, their cleaning of the rooms was not thorough. Floors and bathroom and bed looked great, but there were disgusting looking stains on the floor length heavy drapes (which you have to touch to get to the closet areas, or to close/cover the door, etc.). The toilet was not cleaned either. Room is quite small as well to move around in, barely just the size of the bed and then the bathroom. Fine for a night or two, but not enough room for 2 people to be in very long.

Loved our private room with the sweet seating area.

The grounds of this place were so tranquil. It was out of town, so for some that could be a negative, but it was great for us. It's near the Vincent Van Gogh museum, so we walked over there and then followed the Van Gogh art path into town. We had dinner in town then walked back near dark. We felt safe, but it did seem a tad far at night. Still would stay there again. We had a car and it was much easier to park in their safe car park and walk into town than to maneuver around in the car. Staff was extremely helpful!

The hotel is located just outside of Saint Rémy. It has a beautiful garden with a lovely pool. We had a comfortable room with a terrace onto the garden.

A lovely stay, which would have been more perfect had the room been brighter.

The grounds, the garden and the swimming pool are great. We liked the bathroom design and general furniture in the hotel. The shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom are very good quality products and locally sourced (all from Provence).

Our room was dark, with a very small window, so it was a bit desappointing as we expected something luminous in this part of France. If would be nice if the tea/drinks offered in the room could be as good as the local products in the bathroom.

A very pleasant short break in a relaxing environment.

The location was perfect for us - opposite St Paul de Mausole and next to Roman ruins. Nice garden but too cold to swim in the pool at this time of year alas! Nice quiet and clean room. We had a nice warm welcome from Sophie and all the staff were efficient and friendly, the right combination for us. Excellent buffet breakfast too. We'd like to return and stay a bit longer when the weather is warmer next year. Thank you, Hotel Villa Glanum for a very pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel in great location

I liked the staff - so friendly. The room was comfortable with a big bed and nice bedding. Best of all was the location - opposite the Van Gogh monastery with lovely views across fields of olive trees to the mountains 5 minutes walk away is the Roman village of Glanum. We paid for use of the spa which we had to ourselves - it was really nice.

Nothing not to like - we would definitely stay here again .

Lovely hotel. Can't fault it. Room and bathroom were very modern and clean. Swimming pool and pool area was superb. All COVID restrictions well adhered to and breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend.
