Perfect location in the heart of Saint Remy. Nice and caring hosts. Interesting atmosphere in the gallery. Free parking spaces just 5 minutes by foot.
Walls a little thin. Could hear all sounds in bathroom from neighbors.

This is a one-of-a-kind place where you spend the night in an art gallery. The building and it’s interiors with all the art in it was amazing. Our room was comfortable. Especially the shower was great. Breakfast very good.
Only the colour of the towels. This is the one and only negative point I can make.

We love the location of this hotel and our room which overlooked a courtyard. We loved the breakfast each morning and talking to interesting people and we loved our host Olivier. He is the consummate professional and very kind and caring.
This hotel is actually located within an art museum. We thought that would probably be kind of interesting. We did not know this at the time, but the art rotates in and out throughout the year as they feature different artists. All the art pieces are for sale. Many of them thousands of dollars. This was significant in our case first, because the artist during our stay had a lot of dark creepy pieces of art in the form of sculptures mostly and some other types of art. We thought the art was nightmarish and scary looking. While we support an artist’s , creative freedom, we felt surrounded by art that made us feel uncomfortable. Interestingly, the day we left, they put in new art, and it was beautiful and cheerful, and filled with a summer vibe. We also want to warn families that this would probably not be a good location to bring children. The art museum is set up so that you can actually walk right up and touch the pieces of art, and there was a piece of art outside of our door that we accidentally bumped into and damaged. Fortunately, our insurance paid for the damage, but it was still incredibly upsetting. There were also valuable pieces of art inside of our room, which we were not happy about either. We are quiet and clean, but we felt uneasy just trying to make sure we didn’t bump into the sculptures in our room. Also, before you book a room, you should ask which room you’re going to get and for them to send you pictures of that room. Or at least verify that the pictures you’re looking at online are going to be of the room you’ll have. We did not even think to do this, but our room was filled with a lot of very dark and grotesque art, including a mural that featured a lot of different sickening violent sexual images. And there was nudity everywhere and it wasn’t featured in a very positive light. There were paintings of people having sex on murals inside the wardrobe.

Le Regardeur is very well located in the heart of St Remy. The rooms are above an eclectic art gallery and very comfortable for a short stay. Olivier is the perfect host and was very helpful and accommodating
Small issue with shower drainage, which Olivier was mortified about and I am sure he would have it mended as soon as we left

Great location above an art gallery on a pedestrian street in charming Saint Rémy. Very quiet at night. Unusual room with many surfaces painted by the gallery artists. We liked the paintings, but some might find them disturbing or scary. Enjoyed lovely breakfasts each am served in the gallery.
Only had 1 chair in room and not a very comfy one. Bed was OK, but we prefer firmer. The free parking lot is a short walk from the gallery, but keep it in mind because you have to haul your luggage; can't drop it off.

Olivier was an excellent host. The breakfast generous and excellent with a wide variety of savory and sweet offerings including Olivier's own orange preserves. The setting and art gallery was wonderful you can enjoy the gallery areas as a sitting room when the gallery is closed. The hotel is quiet and best location in St. Remy!
I would prefer not to mention that I didn't like the toilet and shower areas. I gather that the front facing rooms are the ones to ask for. I stayed in the back room. There, the toilet closet, accessed by separate door had a narrow sink. In the shower closet, I hope that the owners will consider replacing the thin lipped utility sink, with a vanity counter area for the guest's own toiletries. This difference could inspire a longer stay.

Pornographic and demonic paintings and statues all over the place. This was a most morbid experience which I’ve never ever wish to experience again. Imagine to sleep above your head with demonic devil bloody images. They were all over the room.
I couldn’t stay there even if they paid me to stay.
I asked to refund my money for that night as I literally couldn’t imagine to sleep in that nightmare of room and the owner very rudely said he is loosing his money.

Do not hesitate to stay at this accommodation in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. This accommodation is literally in the heart of the beautiful old town. I love the fact it is in an art gallery in the middle of everything. Lovely host who put out lovely breakfast. Super modern bathroom with lovely towels, etc. Can't fault it. Only bit of advice is bring your eye mask if you like a dark room as curtains are sheer. A super stay, would love to return.

Olivier, the owner, was an exceptional host. Extremely accommodating and friendly. This property is not just a BNB but an art gallery on the main shopping street in the old town of St-Remy- de-Provence. During the day, it is a pedestrian only street. For a memorable and unique experience, I highly recommend the Le Regardeur.
Parking lot is several blocks from the hotel although free. During the day, 11 am to 6 pm, you cannot drive to the hotel.

Very charming and comfortable. The location, right in the middle of town was perfect. Our host, Oliver was very friendly and most helpful.
Initially it was a bit confusing to get to the property; as the location is in the middle of town on a pedestrian street. However, a quick call and our host, Oliver came out to meet us and direct us.
