Very disappointing, Unresponsive host and Un hygienic apartment

The location and parking facility

The advert doesn’t tell you about the flight of narrow stairs to the top apartments. There is no way to assess which apartment is on which floor when booking and is very unsuitable for people with limited mobility. The cleanliness of the furniture in the room especially the rugs are very filthy. See the photos attached. The advert says that you will be provided with toiletries, washing up liquid and cleaners, but we didn’t have anything when we checked in. We just received handwash and washing up liquid after one day. We were provided two towels for a three day stay. The pullout bed was very dirty and not clean enough to sleep on. The crockery needs checking as the cups were cracked. Overall very disappointing condition. We just had to checkout a day earlier as there was no toiletries for shower. I messaged the owner that we can not continue to stay but neither received any reply to message nor any any refund . Will take it up with booking.com and will make a formal complaint.

Nothing to like

It’s a dump , dirty sofa bed , you won’t sleep on the bunk beds , every move makes a noise , says be quite then you hear neighbours talking all night , utilities given are rubbish also

Everything, we loved the idea of a self contained flat. Own bedroom, bathroom, sitting room/kitchen. Everything we needed was provided. Very clean and modern. Easy walking distance to the town centre.

Generally good overall experience....however one towel and only one toilet roll for a three night stay inadequate. Also no hand/ shower gel provided.I also bought some jayclothes and washing up liquid to clean flat cutlery before I left.A really exceptional stay would have been met by the provision of these outlined things.

worst area I’ve spent a few days in in my whole entite life and I’ve been in stayed in some places

the inside of the property was ideal for myself and my son whilst we visited Family was a decent price compared to basic hotel room around the area that you didn’t have to share the toilet and bathroom.

as for the area NO ONE said we were situated where you dare go out at night it’s full of Prostates Drug Addicts and only two days before our stay started there had been a stabbing. had I of been told this I would not of subjected my son to that kind of stay it’s like a getto when it starts getting dark.

shower knobs broken. doors Squeaking. prostitution in the building. full size fridge in the door way of 1 of the apartments. asked the host to get it moved. he said just move it in the passageway where it would have blocked the passageway for other guests.

Not great

The location was close to town centre which was good for where I was working. The lower bunk of the bed was comfy and the shower warm.

When I arrived my washing machine wasn’t working and there was a broken fridge abandoned in my hallway. After contacting the host, they removed the fridge and offered to send out someone to fix the machine. I declined this offer and used my friends machine who was staying next door due to work hours. A lot about the flat just seemed a bit dodgy.. a lot of unfinished wiring, covers over fire alarms, the hob stopped working after cooking once and the TV had faulty wiring that caused issues too. In a rough area so also had people buzzing up to the flat shouting “IS SHE IN THERE?!”.. staying alone, this was startling. Wouldn’t recommend if planning to use the sofa bed as it was rock solid. Toilet brush was disgusting and covered in wet toilet paper. Would possibly be ok for a 1 night crash, but I was there for a week for work and definitely was one of the less pleasant stays I’ve had. Place could definitely use some TLC.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS APARTMENT. I rented this apartment (6) for 3 weeks while working temporarily at North Tees hospital. When I arrived to the apartment it had not been cleaned properly. There were dirty pots and cutlery, the toilet hadn’t been flushed from the last time it and used, and the shower was completely clogged with other peoples hair. I’m not exactly sure what the compulsory cleaning fee is used for if this is what I was met with when moving in. This property has several other faults such as the the tv didn’t turn on and the shower fell off the wall every time when in use. During the second week of my stay there was no power in my apartment when I got home from my shift. The owner came to the apartment and said that someone would be sent out the following day to look at it. However, I was left with no hot water and no power for 2 days. I couldn’t shower, cook, use any electronics, and all the food in the fridge had to be thrown out. I was offered no apologies or asked if I needed any help, I was instead told that I must have left something plugged in that caused it! After 3 days and limited replies to my messages I insisted that I move to another free apartment (7), as there was no signs of the power being fixed. This new apartment was much smaller, it had holes in the wall, one of the radiators was not connected and the wardrobe was in the sitting room. This apartment no doubt cost less than what I paid on booking .com for my original apartment, but I was offered no compensation. The rooms are also listed as having free toiletries (I got half a toilet roll) and sound proof but you can hear every noise from the rooms next door. Definitely NOT worth the money that I paid.

Very thin walls,you could hear everything what your next door neighbours where saying or doing.very creaking beds,with every move beds where making noises,could not sleep for the first night, another thing was a shower-very difficult to set up the right temperatures-one minute the water was very cold,another boiling hot- a real nightmare and the pressure was low as well.

Great place to crash but let down by WiFi (it is free though)

Nice big fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, and oven with some pots and utensils and a sink. Easy to use radiators, towel rail and shower. On site parking is good for 3 cars with room to manoeuvre. Easy to find and close to the town.

The WiFi wasn't great whenever there was anybody beyond me and my son logged on. The room itself is pretty tightly spaced and if one of your room mates doesn't want to use the bunk bed they'll have to use an uncomfortable sofa bed. No toilet paper was provided, no tea towel for dishes and only one bathroom towel and hand towel was provided.

A clean studio but Don’t expect a cosy bed

The Kitchen have sufficient utility for cooking.

Only provide one toilet tissue, one baggage bag, two towels for 4 nights stay, the guests have to buy tissues and bags, wash towels by washing machine (buy own detergent). No tea bags or coffee. Very basic, don’t expect more caring service. Bunk bed is very unstable, moves and shakes when sit up , mattress are too soft, uncomfortable.
