Appalling communication resulted in my securing alternative accommodation
Beware. Communication over your booking is appalling. So much so that I Never got to stay in the property. I Live local and booked as moving house and needed somewhere quiet to stay with two elderly cats whilst move was on going. None of my messages were responded to - never even got to add my pets to the booking or get a response to queries over key collection . Had to obtain alternative accommodation as couldn’t risk not having anywhere to stay with two elderly pets. An hour before I was due to check in had a call off the cleaner but by this stage I’d gone elsewhere. The Cleaner was critical of me and booking.com. Owner never had the decency to responds to my messages.

Lovely relaxing holiday with the grandchildren
Location was great, rural but with easy access to local beaches and Whitby and Saltburn. Lodge was comfortable and cooker, hob etc worked.
The shower head leaked a lot and it was very very difficult to switch the water from taps to shower head.

Pleasant, I wold probably go back.
A comfortable lodge, plenty of parking, a very tranquil area.
The bathroom needs upgrading or repairing, the French windows did not shut properly.

Absolutely Fabulous
Everything , the Lodge is lovely 😍 the photos don't do it justice, great Fish and Chip Shop down the road , also a Bar ( don't know what it's like ?) and a Post Office/General Store all in walking distance if you didn't fancy driving
Nothing it was exactly what we were looking for peaceful , friendly and relaxing. ( If you like shops , bars and noise NOT for you , lol ) I don't know why there is a sad face on this I tried to change it but wouldn't let me !! Definitely should have been a happy face 😊 😃
