COLD NIGHTS IN SEPCTACULAR SURROUNDIGNS

Here is what we liked: • The location and the neighborhood atmosphere. • The spectacular interior design of the spacious rooms. • The sleeping quality offered by the king-size bed.

Here we see room for improvement: • The only access to the rooms is through an old steep, narrow wooden staircase. Luckily, we had the room on the 1st floor. Getting a regular size suitcase to the upper floors would have been an ordeal – especially for guests with mobility issues. • The corridor leading to the microscopic toilet and the toilet itself is not heated. The temperature there, these February nights, must have been down to 12 degrees. • The heating system worked well, but there was no hot water – lukewarm at the best. In the colder seasons, this is not up to standards

Fabulously decorated apartment in the middle of Antwerp

A wonderfully quirky apartment in an amazing location. It’s a super short walk right to the heart of things. We love to stay in places that different from a bland hotel with a local touch. This apartment ticks all those boxes. It has beautiful original features enhanced with contemporary features of top notch quality. You aren’t going to cook a 3 course meal here but there are facilities for hot drinks and a mini bar - which is all we needed.

It was no problem for us but there is an original and slightly wonky staircase up to the apartment. It might be an issue for those with mobility needs or lots of luggage.

The interior design of the private stay is phenomenal. The place is decorated to a high standard: very clean, beautifully maintained, and just a short walk from the famous Groenplaats, where you can visit the cathedral, see Manneken Pis, enjoy nearby cafés and restaurants, and explore plenty of shopping. During my stay, I visited Antwerpen Zuid, Rubens House, The Meir, and Groenplaats. Both hosts were extremely friendly and provided a smooth check-in experience. I look forward to returning again.

The noise insulation could be better, but it’s understandable given that it’s an old, authentic house. That said, any noise from the neighbours was minimal and didn’t disturb my stay.

Royal stay in Antwerpen

I booked this stay quite late, just three hours prior to my arrival from Brussels, and I didn’t regret it for a second. The property is absolutely stunning! ✨ The interior design is sophisticated, with every detail thoughtfully picked - from the elegant chandeliers, sculptures, paintings, towel hooks to the beautiful mugs and even singing birds in the toilet, or a clothes steamer for a convenience. ⭐️ The location was also great! This stay exceeded my expectations in every way. Thank you! Highly recommended to everyone!

The location is good, next to the old center. The room was quiet and nicely decorated, like a palace they described. It was also easy to communicate with the owners. My parents enjoyed it a lot to stay there.

Prachtige verblijf dichtbij alle bezienswaardigheden, winkelstraten en restaurants. Een absolute aanrader.

Heel mooie ruime kamer met zitgedeelte. Alles is voorhanden, koffie, thee en andere drankjes. Fantastische ligging. Vriendelijke ontvangst, heel fijne communicatie en privé parkeerplaats in overdekte parkeergarage om de hoek.

Wat stevigere hoofdkussens zou top zijn maar dit is een detail. We hebben genoten.

Logement de charme pour un séjour romantique et intime au centre-ville.

Logement très bien situé et décoré dans le style baroque/kitsch. Très hauts plafonds. L'endroit est idéal pour un séjour romantique, à condition de préférer la déco aux aspects pratiques.

J'ai vu des toilettes plus spacieuses dans des avions ou des voiliers de course ! Elle est vraiment minuscule ! Impossible de se retourner ou de se rhabiller sans ouvrir la porte si on fait plus d'1m80 ! En plus, la toilette se trouve au bout d'un couloir non chauffé. Nous étions à Anvers en période froide. Il faut s'habiller chaudement pour aller à la toilette la nuit ! Dommage aussi que la télévision soit un élément incongru posé au milieu du salon. Ca casse tout le charme de la décoration. Je ne comprends pas non plus le concept d'avoir des lits séparés alors que les occupants vont se doucher littéralement à la vue de l'autre. Les installations de bain n'offrent AUCUNE intimité. C'est sans doute un concept volontaire puisque la disposition de l'appartement aurait permis d'avoir une salle de bain fermée, mais il faut que les personnes intéressées soient conscientes de cet aspect avant de réserver ce logement. A noter aussi que les propriétaires n'étaient pas sur place à notre arrivée bien qu'ils nous avaient demandé de les informer 10 minutes avant. Ce n'était pas agréable de devoir attendre dehors. Il faut aussi que les personnes intéressées par ce logement soient conscientes que la ville d'Anvers fait vraiment tout ce qu'elle peut pour être aussi désagréable que possible avec les automobilistes étrangers ! Entre les procédures dissuasives pour obtenir une autorisation de circuler en ville, la réservation des places de parc pour les habitants, le blocage des places publiques par les commerçants qui disposent de gros pots à plantes devant sur les emplacements devant leur commerce, les parkings publics chers et souvent pleins, l'absence d'horodateurs pour les places publiques (tout se fait par applications sur smartphone - prévoyez un bon forfait de données et suffisamment de batterie !

De locatie en de sfeer. De aanleiding van de kamers is uniek, straalt warmte en luxe uit. De fluitende vogeltjes op het toilet zijn rustgevend. De kamer is zoals je ziet op de foto’s.

Einmalig schöner Aufenthalt in Antwerpen. Nur zu empfehlen.

Die Lage war mitten im Zentrum, so das fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreicht werden konnten. Mit der Einrichtung des Zimmers wahnt man sich in dem 17. Jahrhundert. Alles war bis in das kleinste Detail versorgt, sogar drei Kronleuchter gaben ein wunderschönes warmes Licht. Die Eigentümer verfügen gerade um die Ecke über zwei Garagenstellplätze, die man gegen eine moderate Vergütung mieten kann. Für den Gesamtpreis findet man in Antwerpen nicht schnell so eine aussergewöhnliche schöne Unterkunft. Wir kommen wieder!

Die Toilette ist recht klein, aber dafür wird man dann wieder überrrascht von nietlichen Vogeltönen. Wo die herkommen haben wir nicht entdecken können, aber es war schön.

Eine einzigartige Unterkunft, die für eine Übernachtung etwas besonderes bietet, aber für heiße Tage ungeeignet ist

Die Unterkunft wirkte beim Betreten einzigartig: kitschig, überladen, und das machte sie sehr interessant. Man hatte das Gefühl, ein Zimmer in einem Schloss zu betreten. Die bequeme Barockcouch lud nach einem langen Stadtspaziergang zum Ausruhen ein und war sehr bequem. Die dazu passenden Schränke. Spiegel und Accessoires und wirkten mondän. Selbst die Armaturen wurden dem Einrichtungsstil angepasst. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich. Er empfing uns an der Garage, die wir dazu gebucht hatten, und sehr großartig war, brachte uns in die 2 Minuten entfernte Unterkunft und zeigte uns alles.

Sehr bedauerlich war, dass die mobile Klimaanlage nicht seinen Zweck erfüllte. In der Nacht war sie zum Schlafen zu laut und konnte die Räume auch nicht abkühlen, zumal die Dusche offen zwischen Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer aufgebaut war und die Feuchtigkeit nach dem Duschen das Raumklima auch negativ beeinflusste.

Sfeervol appartement met een fantastische ligging

De rustige maar erg centrale locatie en het bijzonder kleurig ingerichte appartement. En de grootte van het appartement en de mooie hoge plafonds. Er was een grote koelkast en gratis koffie en thee.

We waren allebei niet helemaal blij met de matrassen. Die hadden voor ons iets comfortabeler gekund. Helaas veel wakker geweest. Eerlijk is wel dat we thuis net een heel fijn nieuw bed gewend zijn...

Wat een superleuke en unieke plek! Heerlijk centraal gelegen met alles op loopafstand, maar straat zelf is fijn rustig. Aardige gastheer, alles pico bello verzorgd met koffie, thee, badkamerspullen. Origineel en knus ingericht met veel ruimte, lekkere bedden en goede douche. We voelden ons enorm welkom.

Er mist enkel een rekje of stang om natte handdoeken op uit te kunnen hangen.

Een ongelofelijk mooi en ruim appartement op een perfecte locatie. In het centrum, maar toch rustig gelegen. Erg vriendelijke eigenaren, zeer behulpzaam en goed bereikbaar. Zoals het op de foto’s is, is het ook echt.

Prachtige sfeervolle suite op een perfecte plek in hartje Antwerpen.

Prachtige kamer met veel oog voor detail ingericht! Fijn dat er een mogelijkheid geboden wordt om zelf koffie en thee te maken, ruim theezakjes en koffiecups aanwezig. Koelkast op de kamer met minibar. Heerlijk plekje met fauteuils om te zitten met een drankje of een tafel met stoelen om evt aan te eten. Handig dat een parkeerplaats te reserveren is voor €25.

Een kleinigheidje, fontein in toilet werkt niet.
