Heerlijk rustig gelegen, heel mooi uitzicht op de zee en stad in de verte. Schoon, prima bedden (wij verbleven hier met twee kinderen). Heerlijke douche inclusief buiten douche en zeer ruime tuin, privé parkeerplaats, etc. Met name de privé parkeerplaats bij het strand was top. Zeer vriendelijke en hartelijke ontvangst door de beheerders, zeer goede uitleg over alles. Goed functionerende airco.

The host offers two adjacent cottages on Elba. We stayed in Casa Rube, which has a wonderful terrace with breathtaking views over Portoferraio. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Despite the language barrier, as we don’t speak Italian, we received a very warm and friendly welcome. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is, however, quite compact for five adults, especially with only one bathroom and one toilet. Guests should be aware that you’ll need to bring or buy your own dish soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, and basic cooking essentials such as herbs and spices. Bed linen and towels are available for an additional fee, as is the use of the washing machine. We found this a little disappointing, as these are often included elsewhere. The location is excellent - close to Portoferraio and an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island. The private parking area near the beach is also a real advantage. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend Casa Rube, especially for its stunning views and convenient location.

Geschirr könnte etwas aufgestockt werden. Z.B. Unterteller für Tassen, Eierbecher
