Located in the pretty village of Procchio, this ancient Tuscan property offers a charming, self-catering retreat with easy access to all amenities and the beautiful sandy Procchio beach (250 m). It consists of two air conditioned houses which are less than 10 meters apart and share a big and mature garden.
The main house has a very well equipped large kitchen with dishwasher, two bathrooms (of which one en suite), one double bedroom, one bedroom with three single beds two of which can be made into a double bed, one bedroom with two single beds that can be made into a double. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioner.
There is an additional small en suite single bedroom, also air conditioned, which has external access from the patio and is rented on request.
Overall the main house can sleep 7/8 people.
In the living area there are a 8 seat dining table, sofas, and chairs.
TV, Wi-Fi provided.
The small house is open plan, air conditioned and set on two levels. In the mezzanine there is a double bed with a large wardrobe, on the ground floor there is a kitchenette, a bathroom, a large living area with 4/6 seat dining table and a double sofa bed.
All the rooms are tiled, spacious and lovingly decorated.
The property has a lush, mature and spacious garden, a covered patio with a 12 seat granite table and a built-in barbecue area. There is also an outside shower, a private drive with ample parking space and an automated gate.
Bed and bathroom linen are not provided but can be hired at an additional cost, 7 Euro per single bed, 10 Euro per double bed. Towels are provided. Beach towels are not provided.
All bills are included.
A 100 Euro refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking.
Restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, bank, post office, pharmacy, bakeries, playground are between 40 -100 meters from the property.
The beach, which is easily reached by foot in 5 minutes, is long, with white fine sand, safe for children. It hosts a sailing school, it is possible to rent boats and do scuba diving.
Among the many activities on offer in the area are scuba diving, trekking, golf, horse riding. The island is very popular with cyclists.
Popular hikes are Volterraio, Monte Capanne and Monte Perone. Historical and pictoresque towns are Poggio, Marciana Alta, Capoliveri, Portoferraio, San Piero, Sant'Ilario.
Thermal Baths: There are excellent and well reputed thermal baths located in Portoferraio offering many packages.
In September Portoferraio, the main town in the island, hosts a lively music festival.
The island is also beautiful and less crowded in May, June, September, October.
