The hotel is very close to the railway station and buses. The beautiful town centre is only a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel owner was extremely helpful and ensured that my bike was securely stored. The room was clean and had everything that I needed. I will definitely return to this hotel when I return to Roeselare. Excellent value for money.

Decent value place to stay. And very helpful if you are touring on a bicycle.

Friendly proprietor. Reasonable price.Most helpful with bicycle storage I came across on the whole of my two week tour. Interesting period building. Decent breakfast for the price.

Key card for door didn't work in the morning. Some facilities a bit dated especially the bathroom. But would be perfectly happy to stay again.

The owner is a really nice guy. The place has a history as a butcher shop and is nicely decorated according to its heritage.

The locality was good. Open late reception. Pleasant owner.

The bathroom was a catastrohpy, water was either boiling or freezing. The worst was mould (big) on the wallpaper in the shower was very gross. No soap in the bathroom.

Everything was good for the price of the hotel. The person in charge of the hotel is very nice and his treatment is very good and he welcomes you in a way that makes you feel comfortable to come to the hotel again, the location of the hotel is close to all the shops which makes it easy for you to shop.

Stay away

The room was really decadent (see pic), and despite the many free rooms in the northern side, we got the hottest rooms of the building and of course the airco didn't work. Furthermore, I had a very strange experience in this hotel. We paid 190 euros for a double and a single room, and despite this we didn't have any soap in the rooms. The first day, before leaving for our visits, we found a table with some soap and we took some to make sure that we had enough for the evening and morning shower. When we came back, we discovered that the owner entered in both our rooms and removed all the soap again! As the reception was closed, we couldn't wash ourself. Not even our face. Zero. The day after we had an important appointment and we definitely couldn't smell like animals, therefore we were obliged to wait for 9am in the morning (as the reception only opens at that time) and literally bargain to get some soap for a shower. And this for 95e/night room. Eventually we left very late and we had to run to get at our appointment. To conclude, our experience was very bad. one really gets the impression that they don't care about the customer and they put no effort in improving the decadent status of the hotel. Being a family business doesn't mean the place has to be dirty and in such a condition. This is just negligence and low consideration for hygiene. And the episode of the soap was just ridiculous for a 95e/day room. I do think they shouldn't spend their time answering to the numerous bad reviews, but rather think about changing their attitude

Only book if desperate.

Booking and Check in was easy.

Little to no heat in bedrooms in the middle of winter. Staff had bad attitude when I brought it up both times inquiring about getting heat. Last night there a space heater was brought up. I specifically asked for one after the heat wouldn’t turn on again and because he wasn’t proactive in fixing the situation. Offered us free breakfast to compensate the day of checkout but he waited too long to start caring about our issues for us to care about free breakfast.

Eens maar nooit meer

Het eerste ontbijt was goed. De 2e ochtend kregen we de croissants van dag 1. De eitjes waren op dag 1 lekker warm en op dag 2 kwamen ze uit de koelkast. Waarom niet per dag wat eitjes koken???

Badkamer vreselijk verouderd, veel schimmel wat je dus steeds ruikt. Dat is vies en ongezond. Hier wordt gevraagd om onderhoud! Hier wordt je onpasselijk van 🤮🤮🤮 En geen warme douche, koud water! Slechte bedden. Aan de onderzijde hangen de flarden, rot textiel.

TOUT! Particulièrement l'accueil et la literie étaient super géniaux!!!! Dommage qu'il y a eu un petit problème et nous n'avons pas pu prendre le petit déjeuner (on nous averti à notre arrivée). Mais ce n'est pas grave tant le tout était génialissime!!!! Je recommande vivement cet établissement. Ma femme et moi y retournerons!!!!

Zeer aangenaam verblijf en voor herhaling als we terug eens in die regio moeten zijn.

Zeer vriendelijke en leuke uitbater, met de nodige humor en heel behulpzaam, met leuke verhalen of anecdote's. Zeer lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt in een leuke authentieke setting. De kamers waren netjes , een beetje verouderd maar toch zeer goed geslapen. Op wandelafstand van het centrum.

Misschien een tip om de gelegenheid aan te bieden om ergens iets te kunnen drinken.

mooi verzorgd streekontbijt en gelegen op een prima gezellige lokatie ideaal voor treinreizigers omdat het naast het station gelegen is en alles van Roeselare centrum erg dichtbij is

De kamer was gewoon ondermaats en vuil . Totaal niet in overeenkomst met de prijs . Voor een dergelijke kamer zou men maximum 50€ dienen te betalen . De Douche was degoutant vuil , vol met schimmel. er was zelfs geen zeep beschikbaar . De kamer , nr 102, was op het beneden verdiep in een bijhuis . Er waren gewone gordijnen die de straatverlichting lieten binnen schijnen . Bovendien waren de gordijnen te klein , zodat er een spleet was en dus niet volledig afgeschermd. De wc pot was groezelig vuil , zie foto.

Persoonlijke aanpak, gemoedelijke omgang, betaalbaar en centrale (maar toch rustige) ligging.

Trek twee diagonalen over de wereldbol: er is kans dat die mekaar kruisen in de Rodenbachstad Roeselaere! Waarschijnlijk zelfs in dit statige **familiehotel! Het hotel uit de jaren 1900 ademt geschiedenis, de verschillende bouwlagen verraden een gestadige groei en bloei. De eigenaar is dan ook een spraakwaterval, vooral wanneer het gaat over de schoenwinkel van weleer, de beenhouwerij, het spijshuis en de uitbouw van het hotel. De eigenaar is ook steeds in de buurt om het verblijf van zijn gasten aangenaam te maken: suggestie voor een parking, weetjes over Roeselaere en de wijk Krottegem,.... De kamer die wij bezochten van dit tweesterren hotel was ietwat gedateerd maar dat heeft natuurlijk ook zijn charmes. Zo'n accommodatie runnen als familiezaak zal dan ook geen sinecure zijn! Fijne begroeting bij het ontbijt, plaatsje bij het raam... No-nonsense ontbijt: verzorgd buffet, voldoende aanbod met grote bezorgdheid geserveerd door de eigenaar voor (slechts) 10 euro! Ook nog een gadget bij het verlaten van het hotel. Een aanrader ook omwille van zijn ligging voor een stadsbezoek!

Het bed scoort niet zo hoog bij rugpatiënt.
