The road approaching Neano Escape is basically a bumpy, mud track.......but, don't be put off by it! The bumpy ride makes the sudden appearance of the lovely resort all the more appreciated.

Everything is extra cost

View is amazing, service is excellent.

Everything is at additional cost. For breakfast included in the stay you have only one option and that is two eggs cooked in different ways. All the food is well prepared but there are no options. The hotel doesn’t provide even bottle of water on daily basis to its guests. Keep in mind this hotel is so secluded that there is no option of stepping out to a restaurant in the neighborhood or a supermarket next door because such thing does not exist and you need to buy everything at the hotel. It gets frustrating after few days of stay. Basically do not pay additional for the breakfast it is not worth it at all and do not go for extended periods if you are a foodie because you will be disappointed, not by the quality but the variety and the fact that even after paying additional for the breakfast to be included you will find yourself paying again for breakfast because you cant eat two eggs every single day for 5 days in a row, as that is the only breakfast option.

Beautiful resort, heartless response to helpless animals

Our stay was pleasant until we witnessed a deeply distressing incident. Most staff showed a troubling lack of empathy, but a few stood out positively. One team member even made endearing attempts to learn a few words of Dutch (you know who you are). It’s a shame that the actions of many have overshadowed the kindness of a few, and tainted this review. A friendly stray cat on Neano’s property was giving birth, and we wanted to help her do so safely. Unfortunately, when we arrived with housekeeping to assist, the staff member pulled the cushion from under the laboring mother. It was clear she intended to throw the cat and her newborns in the trash. We intervened just in time. Despite our repeated explanations, staff showed a troubling lack of empathy and communication throughout. The following day, we found the mother and her kittens hidden nearby, slowly drowning in intensifying rain. Once again, Neano staff responded with giggles and complete disinterest. We ordered a Grab and drove for hours to bring them to Villa Kitty, a cat sanctuary in Ubud. We hope some kittens survived after enduring such trauma. Neano Escape, if you’re reading this: you should be ashamed of how your staff handled this situation. I would advise anyone with even the slightest compassion for animals to avoid this resort. Ps. Please take a look at the attached photo to see what family they were willing to discard.

Everything. Staff is so accommodating. Coming here for almost 4 years now. Yustini & Yuni are always nice to see (a familiar face) and former staff member Bombom are a fav and friends now. Of course the rest of the team as well. See you next month again :)

I think small ambiance lighting for the living room would be a good option. Now you only have the lights on the ceiling. Just a minor detail. Bath mat (no other villa has this when entering the house from the pool) when entering the room or living room. We had one of us that slipt and fell hard on the tiles. She sprained her wrist.

Probably one of the most (if not the most) beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at. The nature around you, the views, the pool, the facilities, the amazing service & staff. This is definitely a place I will come back to, over and over again.

My room was advertised with a garden view. But there was no garden view. The room itself was small for the price and floor terrazzo was stained. Staff smoking and hanging out at the back of the kitchen which was just below my room 303 Room was not ready when we got there at 2:40 Place needs service. Bamboo faded everywhere. Poolside beanbags old and moldy

The staff are exceptional, the design of the facilities from the restaurant to the pool to the gym are all amazing, the food is really good and the views are amazing!

The only thing that I believe could be improved is the soundproofing in the rooms. Sounds from outside and conversations other rooms can be heard quite clearly if you are close to any of the walls

I would not stay here, it’s better to look something else in that area.

The swimming pool was very wide, open and had a very beautiful view. The balcony/patio at your room was nice to have for the late evenings, nevertheless there was an outside gym that looked pretty good equipped. Overall the resort looked good and the food was decent.

The room was terrible and just not worth the money at all. To start of you came in the room it looked like a cheap motel room, everything was outdated or was on the verge to break, about the bathroom I can’t say anything good at all. The bathroom looked dirty and there was mold everywhere in the shower cabin and that for 200 euro a night? What a joke.

Beautiful small hotel to visit the area

- we booked the villa for 3 nights and got 3 bedrooms with 2 private terraces, with a small pool and small jacuzzi and huge living room, 2 large very beautiful rooms + 1 smaller room - fitness gears and badmington field - beautiful restaurant area - staff is so nice and kind managing with WhatsApp your requests - great spa also - you are not far from Virgin beach by car or Ujung Water Palace which is really beautiful - the hotel is such a beautiful place you may reduce the number of visits to just enjoy the place

- one room smells a little humidity (tropical climate) but my son was ok with it - to get there you need to drive across Manggis village. There is no other path. And not really any walking path from there either. So you definitely need a car (or ask for a taxi or a driver )

A luxurious stay in the hills of Candidasa

A beautiful property located on the hills of Candidasa. The staff were lovely and the property was always immaculately clean.

The food at the restaurant was very hit and miss. Lunches could be absolutely delicious but at times they were very average. This put us off eating dinner at the hotel and we had to get a local driver to take us down into Candidasa and wait for us as there while we ate our food, as there were often no 'Grabs' available were we were located ($30 trip!)

Just perfect

The staff was realty friendly and helpfull. If you need anything, they wel help you immediately. The area around the pool was fantastic. The view was beautifull, the pool area was very clean. Our room and terrace were really nice. The room is very modern. The restaurant was also really good. Food was always great!

Sometimes there were little ants in our room. There was a dog who always came to our terrace. Even when we wanted to eat something on the terrace, we had to face the dog. We told the staf and they helped us and cleaned the terrace extra good because the dog was always there.

If I ever go to paradise, I want it to look like this.

Where should I start? I once read a review of this hotel that stuck with me — “If I ever go to paradise, I want it to look like this.” Now that I’ve been there myself, I can only agree. This place is truly an oasis of peace and quiet, surrounded by the sounds and scents of tropical nature. On top of that, you’re treated like royalty by the amazing staff — hardworking, warm, and incredibly hospitable, just as you’d expect from the wonderful Balinese culture. The food was another highlight — everything from breakfast to dinner, including the cocktails, was absolutely delicious.

There’s really nothing to complain about, except maybe the lack of ventilation in the bathroom — but that’s a minor detail in an otherwise perfect stay.

The whole area is amazing (hotel design, garden, view) - especially the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were satisfied with breakfast and dinner every single day. The overall atmosphere is very good - best hotel during our visit to Bali. We are giving a 10/10 very seldom - but they deserve it!

Escape with beautiful view

We spent here one night only, on the way from Amed to Gili T, and it was the perfect escape. Beautiful accommodation, felt like a dream. The view? You saw the sea, boats, rice terraces, coconut trees. What else do you need? Restaurant had a nice menu.

It was a bit secluded, what is definitely a plus, but it was hard to order a grab there, and the hotel prices for transport were exaggerated. If we stayed there longer, we would have wasted our budget on rides to nearby places.

Eco friendly. It’s the first place we have stayed, in Bali, that has consistently tried to reduce its environmental impact. Refillable bottles, personal pool towels that could be reused … The staff were lovely, as were the accommodation, location and amenities. The 3 bedroom villa had everything we needed, and was perfect for us.

The food and drinks menus were limited and, on a number of occasions, not all of the options were available. We stayed much longer than most guests, so it probably didn’t bother others as much. Fruit and juice were not offered as an inclusive part of the basic breakfast menu. That said, the food was good quality overall. The furniture looked lovely, but would benefit from some modifications. The lovely benches in the dining room were super low/impractical, and need DEEP cushions to make the tables within reach. The sun beds definitely need cushions - as they were very uncomfortable after 10 - 15 minutes. We did admire some of the lovely design details but some functionality over form is needed. These comments are meant as honest feedback and not criticism. If we were running a hotel, these are the kind of things that we would like to know. None of them spoilt the experience, but are things that could be improved.

The view was stunning and it was quiet. It was very clean. Some staff were really attentive others not.

No hot water for 3 days. Food on one evening was awful. I had a Laksa and it consisted of a tin of coconut milk with some chilli powder 4 shrimps and the smallest portion of chicken thumb size. Hardly any rice noodles. Not what was described.

Great, but with room for improvement.

We enjoyed our stay here in the middle of Bali’s nature. The location is quite remote, but relaxing. The staff are helpful and the pool is really enjoyable - we spent most of our time there. There is also a well-equipped gym.

This hotel seems to try to attract the “Instagram crowd”, which made up about half of the guests during our stay. This disrupted the vibe from time to time, as they would play music, shoot content with a drone, etc. Also the hotel is not well-insulated, so if you have a room by the pool, you may hear noise from the rooms above. Additionally, the food could be improved, although the fish sandwich and chicken burger are quite good.

The location is so serene and peaceful. It was really far from everything else, which then made traveling to attractions eat so much of our time, but we love the place, nonetheless.

The bedsheets and towels were worn down. Altho they change it everyday, some days they smell like damp rugs. There were also mosquitoes in the room.

If i could say something that could be improved it would be the restaurant. it looks amazing, but if the lights can be turned down a little (now very bright) and music a bit softer, the ambiance would be perfect. But the whole experience was still great.

I had an unforgettable stay in the king suite at this resort. The room was spacious, luxuriously furnished, and offered stunning views. The staff was attentive and the amenities were top-notch. The experience was truly relaxing and exceeded all expectations. I can't wait to return!

The roads leading to the resort are quite dangerous, particularly for scooters. Google Maps' suggested routes are risky and need caution. Drive carefully!
