Stansted Airport Guest Rooms

Please do not go to this property it was filled with immigrants and they made horrid comments to my daughter who was travelling alone she refused to stay here and had to book a travel lodge

The owner provided a contact number and it just rang and rang! Also funny how he messaged me The day before asking me to make another payment for parking funny how parking was included. I have lodged a safety report with booking.com. Hopefully this will get removed

The rooms were not very clean. There was clothes left under the beds from the last guests. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty with men's hairs all over the sink. The shower was dirty and we refused to even use it. Woken up at 1:30am with the banging of a washing machine in the next room that went on for almost half an hour. We slept in our clothes and couldn't wait to get out the following morning to get to our destination to shower and feel clean again.

The host did call to confirm booking and immediately sent check-in details as the booking was made an hour before arrival.

Dirty, bed was unmade with a used tampon within it. Had to sleep on the floor on a towel. Have made attempts to contact host in regards to this but no response. Had it not been 11pm and flight at 7am would have moved elsewhere although choices were limited due to flights being cancelled.

Leaving

Everything.... utterly appalling. No key in the UNLOCKED key box on arrival. Arrived and the property was in total darkness. Didn't look inviting at all. Front door was lying open for anyone to go in! Ridiculous looking padlock on the door to the room we were to stay in! When we had a problem and tried calling, the owners wouldn't reply! We had to leave! And wanted to because it didn't look safe! Run down garden with random cars in the surroundings of the house. Tried further communication with them repeatedly since then and they have not answered any of my calls or messages! Needs shut down! Cannot run a property like this. Total scam! Booking.com need to do something...I'm in dialogue with them regarding this.

Nothing, as never made it to our room because it was occupied by someone already

That after 6h drive had to look for another place to stay because someone was already in my room, and had only an hour of sleep before my flight

The rooms are located in a very quite peaceful place, I did not pay for breakfast can say anything about food but everything else was excellent ..bedings were clean and cozzy. We had a heater in our room. Was worth the money

I did not stay at this property, the cab driver and I could not find the property and when we called the person hung up before we could get directions. We tried calling 4 more times but no one would answer. Ended staying some where else. Demanding a full refund since I did not stay at this property

For a family of 5 this was good as we all get to stay in one room.

the bathroom door was difficult to open and the adults and kids needed help to open it.

The property is so dirty and unkept. We found a drunk man in our room we ended up being stranded all night. Yet booking.com did nothing about it

Close to stanstead

Door was dead locked, couldn’t get in, out of hours due to delayed flight so no answer. After finally getting in, room had an internal glass door with curtains the other side. Slug on the floor. Damp smell, my wife and I didn’t feel comfortable or safe.

The most desolate place there is, the people at booking should control these places. A dirty room full of dog hair, cobwebs and the smell of dirty socks. I had to go somewhere else. Be very careful, they don't give you your money back. I left, I left the key in the lockbox and today they called to tell me that I would be charged for taking their key!!! How is this possible? They are still complaining.

Absolutely nothing, it was filthy, smelt of urine and had staines on the bedsheets. Cobwebs everywhere. Disgusting place!!!! We ended up booking a local travel lodge as it was too disgusting to even sleep in.

We tried to call the receptionist, no answer. Once they picked up it was 7pm and told us they can’t provide us nothing because it’s too late. 3 small towels for 5 people. Mold in bathroom and spiderwebs everywhere. We stayed here the night before too and I found my own hairs in the bed so the sheets weren’t changed. We don’t know how long.

We left the bathroom unlocked for an hour or so and the toilet roll was taken by the other people living there, who were foreign and talking loudly until late in the night,

We left and got another hotel room.

The whole room was dirty and the house as a whole was even worse.

The property stunk of very strong cleaning products to the point where I was getting really dizzy so I had to leave. I layed on the bed from literally 2 min and since I got up until 24hrs later my clothes still stink of that cleaning solution. The house is dirty, the oven in the kitchen is broken. Nothing was clean, finding the place is very difficult and I phoned to get assistance and I never got the phone answered. It was so bad me and my family didn’t manage to stay the whole night we had to leave and find something else last minute. Honestly terrible

The location is excellent, right next to the airport. It's dirt cheap. Double locks on your bedroom door.

It gives off crack den vibes, the shared bathroom is horrid and the other people that stay there are loud. But, it's cheap, it's got parking and it's near the airport, so it serves its purpose of crashing for a few hours before a flight.

Do not touch this place , it is awful. Full of cigarette smoke, bathroom dirty , smelly , it's awful, felt dirty was only in the building 5 minutes. Booked somewhere else and left . Never seen anywhere like it . Can't believe Booking.com allow this place on their site

That it was close to the airport

We couldn’t stay the night as we got incorrect information and no keys in the keys box, unanswered phone calls or text messages on the night of the accommodation. We couldn’t stay as this is a self checkin but no keys for the room. Had to pay for additional accommodation as they did answer our calls and didn’t calls us back at anything after our. I have requested a full refund for this accommodation but had not heard for the company.

Bed and shower/toilet was there, but it was dirty and not very nice. The location was quite far away from airport, so the name does not match the location. Taxi was £35 and £55. Pick something else.

Nice area and fairly clean rooms.

There was no hot water in the shower or the taps so nobody could have a wash. Coffee and tea was available but no kettle or cups to make one. There was no curtain over the window in the bathroom and my kids couldn't use the toilet because people were looking at us from outside next to the green swampy pool.

Drunk people. Loud noise till 03.00am Filthy kitchen.

Closeness to the airport

1. The location given does not led to the house, we were walking around till a driver helped us. 2. The bathroom is really messy and dirty, there is no toilet paper, rubbish bins, nor hand wash. 3. There are other people living in the house and the noise/smell is not pleasant.

Nothing, it was a discrace

There wasn't enough beds available for our family, the bed was broken and it collapsed on my child injuring my husbands food, there were bugs all in the beds and we were all bitten. The house is full of young groups if males ans females, drinking partying that live in the house, there are lodges in the back garden that are full of youngsters partying. The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy, they have dogs that roam around the house and thyley came into our room , the bathroom has no privacy as the shower is all glass and the window is Privacy glass but you can still see outside when someone is in the shower so we had to use a towel and hang it up at the window. There was no hot water so we had to have a shower cold and my children couldn't have one as that's just terrible. The outside areas are dull of pull packets empty bottles of alcohol and rubbish just shattered, shouldn't even be allowed to be used as guest rooms, the house stinks of dampness and the smell sticks to you. Didn't feel safe here at all....m

The property was filthy the bathroom was not cleaned, there was no curtain in the bathroom so people outside could see.

The automated gate was about the only enjoyable aspect of this property.

Where do I begin?! I received a vague message hours before we set off saying someone had tried to contact us (didn’t happen) as we couldn’t stay in our room for some reason to do with maintenance (?) so we would be moved to a ‘glamping tent’ for the night instead. Not ideal when you are up very early for a flight and you want close, simple amenities. Not a smelly portaloo with no hand washing facilities or even sanitizer, a communal dirty shower in a small tin shed, a damp insect filled tent and the sound of planes flying very close over head at a deafening volume every 2 minutes throughout the night. We were initially not too upset about the change from room to glamping tent as we are open minded and thought it would be fun but being a few minutes drive from a busy airport and sleeping outside are two very incompatible things and I’m not sure why the owners ever thought this was a good idea. We initially paid £60 for a basic room which felt fair and we didn’t have to pay any extra for the tent, thank god. Had I paid the £150 glamping charge and been presented with what we got I would have been appalled. This time around it was more comical than anything else. We didn’t come into contact with a single member of staff and only one other poor guest who seemed equally fed up and confused. Not as confused as another person that tried to get into our tent at 3am!!! When 4am rolled around and we could hightail outta there it felt like sweet release even if we were KNACKERED! local pub very unfriendly and stand-off ish too. Weird place!!

Cold water in the morning…for showering 😭
