Loved the character of the place and how close it was to the harbour and main town.
There is no parking at the property and the road outside does not allow any parking either (double yellow lines) so that leaves 3 options:
1. Park in a town, harbour car park and pay every day/night
2. Park on one of the roads above and behind the cottage (steep climb up some steps several times over)
3. Park on the hill at the end of the road if you're lucky enough but risk scratches to your vehicle as narrow road.
Kitchen a little on the small side to be of any real use but we got by.

We loved the open fire and the closeness to the town
Finding the property in the dark was a challenge, although the instructions were clear. Parking was a 15 minute walk from the property.

Clear instructions sent via email, easy to find - couldn’t fault it.
Access to the rear garden could be improved but didn’t effect us and were well warned that it was up some steep steps - I am being choosy mentioning this.. Parking was a challenge but again well informed and used local side street. Beware where your parking to off load, a gentlemen in the sunny side house did not appreciate me parking outside his house for 5 mins while unloading cases etc

The settee and beds were comfortable and the property was clean with a kitchen with all you need. Lovely secure front garden for a little dog.
Getting a parking space was not easy

Instructions to work shower and the TV(but I don`t watch TV at home so more my problem).

Gerry's cottage is conveniently located near to the main port area of Brixham, with pubs and restaurants nearby. Brixham is best explored on foot, particularly as the roads are narrow, steep, and parking spaces are at a premium. The property includes a small front garden with seating safely away from the road, which is ideal for relaxing, and watching the world go by.
The host is aware, but some of the photos of the property on the booking site are not up to date, especially the rear terrace seating area, but the views from there are still fabulous, and it's a nice place for evening drinks, especially at 8pm when the church bells will chime out 'Abide with Me'. Unloading on arrival is not that easy given most roads nearby are restricted parking, but you can briefly park near the church, and backtrack about 50 yards to the front door of the property, accessed via the terrace steps of the property next door. (I didn't witness any traffic wardens lurking) ! Cars are then best parked about 10 minutes walk away near the Battery Park, where you can find some unrestricted parking places for a few days.

nothing really clean but really run down .Too expensive for what it was.
There is no parking , you have to really look for it.There is too much conditions like do the bins strip beds £100 security deposit and if you don’t pay they won’t give you the address .They even emailed us the day before we left (while we are still on holiday ) to tell to do bins .And if you cancel they will only give half your money back.

Central location, overall cleanliness & facilities good.
Noise from church bells, neighbours, fighting cats & passers by late at night. The shower kept cutting out. The left side of the double bed/floor was uneven/not level gave feeling of rolling out of bed. Would benefit from opaque glass or window coverings in bathroom & kitchen.

As noted above. Also we had to Park along the road under the trees which resulted in one morning my vehicle being obliterated with bird crap so bad that we could hardly see out of the left side of the windscreen and it was all over the roof. I have written more in previuos boxes about the poor beds, synthetic bedding, damp smell absorbed into all clothes thatb had to be washed. Not the best place !!!

Gerrys cottage was a well situated property for access to the town centre, and not too far to walk to the sea front. A very cosy little cottage with lovely views from the terrace garden. All in all a good base to explore the area.
First of all the small bedroom would benefit from some hanging space instead of a chair in the room and a wonky shelf. Could do with more tea towels providing, and extra bin liners. Other than that it was a very nice stay.

Rediculousy small 2nd bedroom with uncomfortable bed. Broken furniture in back garden, and unkept front garden. The whole property smelt musty and needs a lot of TCL.
The stairs are extremely steep, have no bannister or railings on one side and are not suitable for very young or infirm. No warning given of this, which is unacceptable.
Uneven landing is also very dangerous.

A lovely and quirky little cottage close to the harbour. It had everything we needed, was warm and comfortable and a little sun trap.
Everything was as expected, we liked everything.
