Lovely Summer stay

Quirky period property with all modern needs. Comfy beds, big bath towels. If you want to experience a creaky old house with history and charm it’s perfect. 20 minute hike up and down the hill to Man Sands Beach which is beautiful and remote. Good pick for the SW coast path. Brixham Harbour is 15/20 minute walk.

Parking for two medium sized cars at the top of the garden. There is little on street parking. I had to befriend the neighbour and park across his side of the drive. Needs a decent outside patio / eating space. It’s not really suitable for older people or anyone with mobility issues. A WI-FI booster in the new covered garden deck would be great.

It was very different to what we are used to but lovely

Very old and quirky. Good location with a nice stroll down to Brixham and close to Berry Head. The house had everything you needed if you wanted to cook.

The beds were very small and not good for tall people. One of our group was 6ft4ins tall.

Keine Erholung

Das Cottage ist hübsch aber leider nicht richtig sauber. Die hygienischen Umstände waren während unseres Aufenthaltes katastrophal. Es gab eine Verunreinigung des Leitungswassers in der Stadt und wir konnten das Leitungswasser nicht nicht benutzen aufgrund darauf befindlicher Parasiten, das heißt nicht kochen, nur mit Quellwasser die Zähne putzen etc. Insbesondere da wir mit Kindern gereist sind, hatten wir ständig Angst, krank zu werden. Dafür konnte der Anbieter zwar nichts, aber unsere Bitte, eine Ermäßigung zu erhalten wurde einfach ignoriert, obwohl scheinbar jeder Haushalt eine Entschädigung für die Verunreinigung erhalten hat. Der Betreiber hat zudem vergessen, das Warmwasser einzustellen vor unserem Einzug, so dass wir am ersten Tag nur kalt duschen konnten. Wir hätten einen schöneren Aufenthalt erwartet!
