L'Académie - Terrasse avec vue - Parking

Very good location just across the river from Altstadt, the cathedral, etc. Really liked being able to head back to the apartment for a break after sightseeing. Lots of good cafes, restaurants and boulangeries near by. Very well stocked kitchen with a dishwasher. Pleasant view toward the university. Nice balcony for drinks and eating. Having a parking garage was important for us.

The climate control is non-existant. The blinds can't be down at night and windows also opened for air. Granted, there was a short heat wave, but even on cooler days the bedrooms were stuffy and warm. Had to sleep in the living room twice. The microwave controls were UNREADABLE and anti-Intuitive. The label says Made In France. I wouldn't advertise that fact if I were France. No freezer in the refrigerator. Social services building across the street. We never felt unsafe, but sometimed a lot of very loud people with issues. Getting into and out of the garage was super confusing. The lengthy instructions were incomplete. Very tight spaces.

L étanchéité du pare douche, les volets qui empêche l ouverture des fenêtres dans la chambre avec le bureau, les poêles en téflon qui sont rayées et donc nocif pour la santé, problèmes d évacuation des lavabos et mon mari a du nettoyer les filtres du lave vaisselle qui mérite encore un nettoyage

Excellent location and spacious apartment.

1- There was no air conditioner and the shade over the windows did not allow to keep the windows even slightly open. There was no mosquito screen on the windows. Despite a fantastic weather outside, it was impossible to sleep through the night without windows open. And we ended up having mosquito bites. 2- there was no bath towel and only small-size towels were provided. 3- there liquid soap in the toilet was empty and there was only one small solid soap in the bathroom. 4- there was no tissue (Kleenex) in the whole apartment. 5- The management was not responding to any of the email. We requested soap and tissue but there was no response. 6- there was a locked door inside the apartment. From security perspective, this should be disclosed and guests should be informed about this.
