Fantastic location in the middle of town. Nice historical building and well equipped.

Stairs were awkward with suitcases

Location in the middle of Strasbourg was excellent. We stayed there in the middle of a "canicule". No air-con, but the property owner had left two very efficient fans in the property that we could use to keep cool. Advice about nearby shops (especially boulanger-patissiers) was very welcome!

Under the circumstances, aircon would've been a bonus. It was up two flights of stairs which we knew about, but also the floor is very uneven, as it is an older property. No problem for us once we got used to it. I can't remember if the owner mentioned this in the property info, but might be an issue for some people.

Absolutely stunning apartment that is very spacious. We enjoyed having separate bedrooms. The location is 10/10, the street itself is gorgeous and you are just mere steps away from cathedral view. Love the vibe of the apartment with wooden decor and spacious rooms. I can see how it would be such a lovely base particularly in winter! We also appreciated Chantals service and how she upgraded us to another room that had some air conditioning in the bedrooms (with Europe currently in an extreme heat wave)

The heat in the apartment, despite aricon units in both bedrooms was still unbearable during this heat wave, so I cannot recommend a stay here during summer. Whilst we were aware of only stair access to apartments in advance, in practice they were worse than expected. Staircase is very narrow, and beyond the first flight are spiralled/steep. Many steps also feel loose and creak, overall making it actually seem a little unsafe. We definitely struggled moving our luggage up and down. Overall the stairs in combination with the heat, and air-conditioning/fans not being turned on prior to our arrival (we pre-confirmed arrival time), meant I nearly passed out on arrival after carrying our suitcases up the stairs. We also unfortunately found the loft (upper bedroom) not as clean as rest of apartment. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs, as well as dirty linen - also encountering several spiders during our stay!

Great central location to explore Strasbourg, just round the corner from the Cathedral and just a short walk from the railway station.

We were on the third floor so carrying your luggage up could be difficult for the less mobile.
