Carpe Diem Home Cathédrale

Location was fabulous and only a short stop away on the tram!

For four adults it would be good to have an extra comfortable chair to sit in as the sofa really only was able to have 2:3 people. The other chair was unusual with the very small back? Would have loved a washer too as we were back packing but other wise it’s a fabulous apartment that we would return to and the owners brought another fan when it was very hot so both bedrooms had one. 😎

Everything was just perfect.

From an unassuming hallway and up a plain looking staircase we opened the door to an apartment that took our breathe away. A comfortable lounge with large Windows overlooking the street and with views of the cathedral spire. From the lounge was a delightfully decorated double bedroom which my son found very comfortable. The other bedroom is to the rear of the apartment and overlooks a courtyard and again was comfortable. In the centre of the apartment is a well equipped kitchen with a coffee machine, kettle, toaster and a dishwasher. The location of the apartment is excellent, as I said you can even see the cathedral and only a short walk to petit france, there are lovely bakeries and patisserie on the same road and the supermarket is only a five minute walk away. The road itself is relatively quiet although being so central, and with the Windows open there is some noise from the street. Talking of windows, given the hot weather we were provided with 2 fans which meant the apartment stayed reasonably cool (probably also helped by the centuries old walls!) On the ground floor is a little courtyard, mostly to store the bins but with a handy area for those naughty smokers! The host is super helpful with really good communication. She provided plenty of information on where to shop and places to eat. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and I was very sad to leave.

Location was phenomenal! Right in the heart of old-town Strasbourg.
