The POINT CITY-Center - Place KLEBER

This was the fifth place we stayed on a two-week intergenerational family trip with 8 people. We rented three rooms at this location - two were side-by-side and the other on the next level. We knew we were at a place with character - this has character, but it does require a little more preparation than I feel we had. If you're looking for an incredible experience in a historical place, this is it. We could hear the cheering from the bar as France beat Paraguay in the World Cup game at midnight; we watched pedestrians stroll by; we ate delicious food at Le Paradis de Fruit on the square. It's a wonderful place to stay.

First off, finding the place is difficult. You have to make sure you see the small plaque announcing the glass door on the side of the building. I walked by multiple times like an idiot before I cognized the discretionary entry. Second, the double unit we had was not child friendly: the loft has a winding staircase that is easy to slip on, and it juts into the headspace to the bathroom - easy to knock one's head on when not paying attention. Staff were kind enough to point this out. The windows have no screens, typical of this area, but also means children are likely to lean out to see the incredible views. Parental vigilance is a must. We have a runner, and that created a bit of an adventure. Expect only the basics - there are some dishware, some towels, an all-purpose soap. There are few other hygienic amenities.

I loved its central location and extremely friendly staff. The room was comfortable and we are a family of 2 adults and 3 children. The kids loved the ability to open the windows and let the fresh air in and the AC portable unit was very nice to have for the warmer days. The coffee machine and hot tea kettle pot was very much appreciated. Kléber plaza over centrally located. The first night we arrived there was an open market. There is a McDonald’s near by and also many shops and accommodations. We were able to walk everywhere. Thank you again

No elevator for the bags - so pack light.

Centrally located apartment in the old town, full of character in the decor. Very convenient to shops and sightseeing. The air conditioning machine was a godsend given the heatwave in Strasbourg when we visited.

No lift. Be prepared for lots of steps to 3rd floor especially carrying luggage
