Beautiful and serene place.

This property was beautiful, peaceful and verrryyy clean. Mrs. Gillian and Mr. Paschal where the best hosts we've ever had, and they took good care of us. They went above and beyond our expectations! Sweetest couple!!! Breakfast items are provided, and the kitchen/dining room area were beautiful as well.

Exceeded Expectations!

We loved our stay, and will return whenever possible. The room, accommodation, and grounds are beautiful, exceptionally well cared for and clean, and the hosts Gillian and Paschal are exceptional hosts that go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Freshly laid eggs for breakfast in the morning, with a well stocked personal fridge for each room, a kitchen with everything you could ever need to make a meal, and and a cafe style dining room to enjoy those meals in. The beds provided an amazing sleep each night, plenty of spots to relax or hangout, inside and out, and situated very close to a small town with everything you could need or want, including some exceptional restaurants, cafes and pubs. Thank you SO much Gillian and Paschal for an amazing stay, and we'll see you in February 2026!

Our stay at Mt Barker Bed & Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and so welcoming — the perfect place to relax and unwind. Gillian, the owner, is one of the kindest hosts we’ve ever met. She genuinely cares about her guests and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The accommodation itself is spotless — truly one of the cleanest and most comfortable places we’ve ever stayed. We especially loved the “make your own breakfast” concept. The fridge was stocked with a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious ingredients, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely morning at our own pace. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Gillian, for creating such a warm and memorable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

This will be our go-to place in the future for the last few days of any trip to Ireland. It's 10-15 minutes to the car rental return at the Dublin airport and it could not have been a more luxurious retreat for our last few days in the country. The host was exceedingly nice and there was everything we could think to need. We had our own refrigerator in the kitchen, and it was stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful breakfast. And the kitchen itself was well stocked with equipment for cooking meals. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom and shower were exceptional, the room was spacious with an eating area and an outdoor terrace. We didn't get an opportunity to go back into Dublin this trip, but it looked like there were several mass transit options to do so just a short distance away, and the host was very helpful and knowledgeable there as well. Also close to shopping and dining in Swords, and there was a great farm market literally just a few hundred feet down the road. We picked it because of proximity to the airport, but it would be a great base for exploring Dublin and the Boyne region.

I wish we had stayed here on our previous trip 2 years ago instead of where we did stay! It was a little nerve wracking turning right out of the property because it's a busy road with limited visibility but the morning we checked out we actually had no problems getting out.

Beautiful, rural accomodation with easy access to Dublin

Lovely accomodation. Easy access to Dublin but in quieter rural location, close to Swords town. Rooms were beautiful with access to kitchen amenities for help yourself breakfast, anytime. Hosts were friendly and helpful, even helping out with lift into Swords town.

Warm welcome in Swords

Great communication before and during our stay. Gillian and Paschal clearly love what they are doing and quite rightly are very proud of their property. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely communal lounge and kitchen. Very comfortable beds and great shower. Lovely fluffy towels freshly laundered. Quiet despite being on busy road Driving distance to Swords and Malahide Excellent safe parking (Access to road can be a bit hairy as it is extremely busy but we managed)

For a three day stay would have liked a change of towels. We realise that daily change of towels is seemingly not a guest expectation in England and Ireland but it would add to guest satisfaction.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Large, spotlessly clean and comfy room, great breakfast, amazing shared dining room, living room and kitchen. Great location only 10 minutes from airport and 25 minutes from Dublin. Very lovely host, gave us great tips for our travels. Overall, one of the best accommodations we ever had.

Brilliant, Wholly Recommend!!!

The new concept of a shared kitchen with your own fridge and food so that you weren't consigned to set times for breakfast. You could help yourself whenever you decided to get up. Gillian & Pascal are excellent hosts and the room was very clean and comfy. Also great location, close to Airport and just off the motorway.

Well organised, you have your own fridge and you basically help yourself. Have what you want. Nice touch as I had a piece of toast one evening.

The only thing I would suggest is that (to save any potential waste) you have a bread bin so everyone can share (and not have your own loaf which you may not use it all)

The layout of the guest house and the interaction with the owners Pascal and Gillian. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend if you are visiting Dublin, Ireland.

There was very little we did not like about the place it was near perfect, however just the left turn to get onto the property we missed a few times. Next time we will use the ericode.

The only thing for us was getting out of the property. The oncoming traffic goes very fast . But we now live in a village in Cyprus, so anything moving at any speed was going to take some getting used to 😊

Wonderful, luxurious and exceeded all our expectations..Simply the Best!

It was room only though the host provided a private fridge and cupboard in the kitchen, with full use of kitchen facilities..the host was kind enough to provide food essentials and goodies in our fridge. The hosts were wonderful welcoming people and nothing was too much bother for them. They were a wealth of information regarding surrounding areas to visit and places to eat. It was total luxury for the 4 days we were there and the rooms were so big and luxury carpet throughout..best accommodation I have ever been in..

Nothing could have made this visit better as it simply ticked all the boxes we were looking for. Will most definitely return here in the future.

From its location to the lovely way it's built , the friendly owner , to the way it's creatively designed for both beauty and comfort for its inhale, 10 on 10 . A. Great value for money. A little away from the main city but absolutely worth it.

One of the best places to stay in Dublin, as long as you have your own car available.

We had a wonderful room with a very comfortable bed, a great bathroom with a shower with proper water pressure (we've experienced otherwise in Ireland...). Fully stocked common kitchen with your own fridge and cupboard. Nice common area's with tables and chairs downstairs and sofa's upstairs.

Not something that could be better, but more a note: the bus stop around the corner doesn't see many busses a day. Use your own car or be prepared to pay for taxi's. When using your own car to get to the Dublin City Center, you can park for a few euro a day at the Malahide trainstation and buy tickets from the machine there to pay for parking and use the DART to the city center and back.
