Fionn house is everything you need in a booking, its a clean comfortable house at a great price.

It's in a nice quiet street with off road parking. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with ample facilities. The host was friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay at a great cost

We were here for an night on and it was a perfect stop before heading to our destination further north.

Very minor - the hot tap was leaking so the next day there was luke warm water available in the main bathroom. Can be fixed easily.

Cannot recommend this property; over-priced and deficient in many ways.

Pleasant hosts, answering messages quickly. Very safe and quiet location on a cul-de-sac. Extra kitchenette upstairs. Host kindly provided cotton sheets upon request. Imaginative decor of rooms, each with a theme. Full-size fridge.

Heat cannot be easily set by guests; one has to contact the host and request heat set at certain hours. This is quite inconvenient. Apparently there is a way the guest can set the heat, but it's a very complicated system, using a digital device, which not even my clever software engineer husband could figure out. No instructions are provided for this or for anything else in the house, including Wi-Fi. A guest handbook is needed. The night before, we requested our heat to be turned on by 8 am. but it was not, so we woke up to a cold house. This seemed inconsiderate, especially since we could not set it ourselves and had to request it be turned on, which then took awhile to warm up. Kitchen was the most cramped I've ever seen; impossible for 2 people to be in it at once. Dismal lighting throughout the house: too dim, no reading light in living room, and a broken bulb in one light. Very heavy upstairs doors, which need all one's strength to open. Annoying sensor light in hall which can't be turned off, meaning unwanted, full bright light upon night trips to the toilet. Creaking, uneven floors. Rather uncomfortable bed in main bedroom; springs could be clearly felt. Loose kitchen tap, dripping bath tap which cannot be turned off. Upper main bedroom has condensation between window panes. Poor value for the many problems with this unit; not worth the price we paid. We paid the exact same amount for another house the next night which had almost no problems.

Location brilliant. Bus at the top of the road. Shops, pub, takeaway, restaurants in walking distance. House very clean, everything we needed.

Perfect find and ideal for our trip to Catterick Garrison for Grandson’s passing out parade . We were a party of four adults and a small child . Plenty of helpful communication from owner and I’m happy to recommend the property

Lovely place to stay

Such a delightful home! Such a wonderfully touching back story to how the home came about, which you can read on the wall in the hallway. The beds were extremely comfortable. We all slept really well! The kitchen is well equipped, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year...

Only downside is toilet is upstairs but i needed the exercise!!

It is clearly really well kept. The back garden was beautifully tended and that was appreciated, even though we didn't have time to spend out there. It had all that we needed for an overnight stay. Things have been thought about - pegs ready on the line for example. The themed bedrooms were a nice touch.

Not much really. We couldn't get the TV to work - maybe batteries gone in the remote?? But we didn't have time to investigate this further. No recycling - but this may be an issue with Darlington council..

Amazing long weekend

House was spotless upon arrival Rooms are gorgeous it's clear this house is loved and cared for by the owner. There was more than enough space for 2 couples to have privacy in the evenings Brilliant, quiet location Quite large garden, would be lovely in summer months, and sand bin was provided for those of us who smoke. We definitely plan to return to the property
