Lovely host and lodge-could just use a bit of TLC

Beautiful lake view location, lovely host, enough space for 2 cars to park, hot tub and decking to enjoy the view of the lake. Hot tubs get checked daily and refilled ready for the next people. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen and a selection of games and dvds to choose from should you wish.

The Lodge could do with some TLC as some things we noticed from a previous stay still hadn't been fixed eg broken sink in one of the bathrooms. Overall the lodge appeared mostly clean, but we had to hoover the living room carpet when we got there as it was covered in dog hair. The outdoor furniture could also do with a good clean. One of the girls at the next lodge which I believe is also owned by the host decided it would be a good idea to go swimming in the dirty lake and then get straight into the hottub which was a bit grim to see so its good that the hottubs get regularly cleaned and emptied on checkout! Booking.com hugely overcharge by a few hundred, so if you are going to book one of the lodges then book directly through the hosts websites.

50th birthday 🎂 weekend break Good location Very clean and comfortable Everything you need and more Close to all amenities and the river for a good walk into the village. Complimentary short bread Good size hot tub Glorious sunshine 🌞 What a bonus to see the Spitfire and Lancaster take to the skies. Looking forward to a return visit.

Nothing to not like Apart from the main bedroom bed being far too close to the wardrobe. Doors opened on to the bed stead. ( design of accommodation ) And ending up with a big bruise on my knee from bumping the corner of the wooden bed frame 🙃

Good location on Tattershall Lake, lovely outside area with hot tub and spacious and clean living space. Good information provided in the guest book.

Master bedroom mattress - we could feel every spring so it was a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Some basics not included or provided in the lodge. I.E. no toilet roll, no kitchen roll, no towels, no dish washer tablets. Which for the price you’d think these would be included. 3 pages of rules were sent via email before our stay which made us feel uncomfortable. This made us feel like we couldn’t fully relax to ensure we were keeping to all the rules. For example, we would normally strip the beds, wash up, clean up and empty the bins out of respect when leaving anyway but to be told to do this just felt a bit much.
