Great location but no service

Liked the location and the design.

The level of service was not as expected for the price or from the information provided. In the 6 nights we stayed the room was cleaned twice, the toilet didn't work very well and the towels were only changed once which was an issue as we needed to use them to mop up the water from the shower. The mini bar was never replenished and neither was the water.

I absolutely loved my stay! This boutique hotel has such a unique and beautiful style. The staff were warm and attentive, the food was amazing, and every detail made the experience special. I can’t wait to come back!

Nice place, but do not expect hotel service

The property is in an excellent location in Bologna, with several attractions and restaurants in walking distance. Room is clean and quiet.

This really isn’t a hotel. It’s more like an AirBnB. In 2 days, I only saw one staff member, who assisted me with check out and called a taxi for me. However, there was no staff on site for most of my visit. On the last day, I texted the number given with some questions about check out and I got no response.

It was a lovely stay

it is in the very historic building. the location is near the main plaza and close to everywhere. I had to drop by several times for a rest and the location was the best. And it is very contemporary and clean!

There is no lift to the room. My room was Turrita Suite which is on the first floor. But honestly there were many stairs for me as my baggage was huge.

Poor service and hard to check in. Quasi non communication at arrival resulting on 50 minute wait at property

The location and cleanliness.

We never had such experience. I am from the hospitality industry and our experience at check in was unfortunately A very unique experience. We booked our reservation due to the fact that the ownership owns the restaurant below and is praised with great reviews . At our arrival we were sent the instruction to get in in which seem to be easy and worked until the moment to get into our room . Unfortunately the information provided to us to get into our room was incorrect and missing. We first tried to call with no answer or success , we then got a text sending us the same info provided, I called again with the same number with no success except a text replied « I can’t answer your request right now » I texted immediately but then no reply. We waited in the lobby of the building for 50 minutes until a gentlemen showed up with no knowledge to the situation he himself tried to contact the person he again wasn’t able to get an answer then called someone else who was able to provide us with the key to get into our room. I later received a message from the original person apologizing and blaming the cleaning lady responsibility . I am sorry but as a customer I don’t need to know who’s responsibility it was but only to the person that is in charge of managing the booking and to make sure that service is provided . 50 minutes to wait with no info is a bit too long.

Good location, interesting building but didn’t quite meet expectations.

The location is fantastic . The bathroom was nice and the ceiling art was interesting adding character. We also appreciated the cleaning lady helping us get checked into the room.

I expected the room to have a bit more decoration beyond the ceiling. The walls are extremely bare. Also since this is not a traditional hotel, customer service is not what you expect. We did not realize how important it is to notify this property about advance notice of arrival-it was not emphasized that nobody would be present.

Amazing location, well maintained historic building. Nice and easy personnel, books in the room and on the small library area ..La turritta with high ceiling and huge tall window left us a feeling of living in Rapunzel’s tower .Fresh towels in the bathroom when we went and very clean

40 steps make you think twice if you forget something! Some modernities were not working well! Under heating floors were not working properly so we were freezing the night and we had to call them to fix it The towels had never been changed even we put them on the floor they were again hung wet-we had to ask again for fresh ones No hoover all the three days The toilet water -although I have seen this mechanism for the first time -,was very disappointing as you had to put the handle back after a long time.. Not enough physical light nor technical light This unfinished black wooden wall needs extra attention The first step to the bathroom moves if you do not step in the middle- to be fixed In the shower the water comes first from the top and your hair are wet if you are not careful-no shower cap should be vice versa

Amazing designed cold room

The design is amazing ; the renovated building is combined with an elegant eckectic style ,loved the Turkish carpet and all the pleasant details very close to everywhere, so generous to have a free minibar

We are very experienced travelers and we seldom write bad reviews. This property is essentially an unhosted AirBNB. Only saw someone to give us key and take our money, Terrible internet entire stay. Really really bad like under 5mbps. Never fixed during four day stay. No hot water final night. Lack of timely communication by staff. Often did not respond to Whatsapp messages. When we had no hot water had to dig out email from reservation and emailed them and then they responded. Never even offered a partial refund just apologies after apologies for all of the issues. They did offer breakfast at the last minute on our final morning after we had made other plans. Worst accommodation of the many places we stayed over a month in Italy.

We stayed at Casa Conoscenti, which was perfect for our one night stay. The hotel was really beautiful and our room had just the right stuff for us. The place feels really secure and there is a fabulous looking restaurant/bar downstairs.

As a note, there was a flight of stairs we had to use to get up to our room. It was also a bit unclear where the street entrance was when getting walking directions via google maps.

We self checked in and I appreciated the staff was very attentive, helpful and accommodating. The room is in an old building but is completely modern and very design. This was a big surprise as you have the huge ceiling from the old structure and then everything else very new . The bathroom was really beautiful. Loved the design. You also have some refreshments in the minibar which were in the price of the room, nice surprise as well. The accommodation is walking minutes close to the city centre. Totally recommending it.

The flushing system is not so efficient unfortunately although very design. For longer stays this may be problematic. Nothing else.

Location was amazing, close to everything we were in the heart of the city! The room was huge and very modern in a very small boutique hotel.

No elevator in the hotel but it was in a old building, just be aware that you will have to carry your luggage up multiple stairs. Also we had to walk up stairs to go up to the bathroom in our room, small quip but was a bit bizarre.

Stinky room - impossible to breathe or sleep

We've had a horrible experience at this hotel. Entering the room felt like stepping inside a bottle of cheap perfume, and the smell was so strong that it provoked an allergic reaction and heavy headaches. The hotel staff confirmed that a strong fragrance was sprayed everywhere in the room : the sofa, the carpet, the curtains, the towels, even the toilet paper. Upon checking the label of the product that was used, we saw clear warning of the potential health risks - including allergies. We were horrified with the obvious health hazard this creates for the staff, and for people sleeping in this hotel. Here's how things went : We tried to air out the room, but the smell was too strong and embedded in the sprayed surfaces. We tried to take out the stinky items, but it was impossible to take down the curtains or move out the heavy sofa. We asked to be moved to a different room : nothing was available Since it was impossible to sleep inside the room, we asked for a refund : it was refused, and no customer service was provided. We ended up having to book a different hotel where we could actually breathe. We chose this hotel because it looked cute and nicely decorated. Our advice : run away from this place if you value your health, and any type of customer service.
