Ara Pacis Inn

The staff were exceptional—always friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They answered the phone promptly, helped adjust my breakfast arrangements, provided great recommendations for local shops and transportation, and even called a taxi for me on the day I checked out. The location is also excellent. I would highly recommend this property to solo travelers or anyone looking for a convenient base to explore Rome.

The room was a little small for one person, but that’s understandable since the hotel is located in one of Rome’s historic buildings. There are also several large street garbage containers outside the property, and the garbage trucks can be a bit noisy when collecting them. However, neither of these was a major issue.

Great location with good public transport and easily walking distance of much of central Rome.

Had everything I needed-fridge, safe, soap, shampoo, hot water pot, breakfast, enough towels and hangers, AC, ventilation. Perfect for my needs!

Breakfasts everywhere are too sugary, but there were grocery stores nearby. Room was clean, but bathroom sink was not cleaned often. Bed firm- good for back sleepers. No one is there at night, which was ok. I was able to communicate via phone. Room is noisy if you leave the windows open.

Location

Property advertised a certain amount of beds in the room description and later on said the room had one less bed than advertised. I reached out to booking and they said they would provide what was advertised. However, when I arrived they made me pay extra for the bed they had put in the room. I let it go initially to avoid more stress but then after checkout I received a message that something was wrong with the room after I left (some scratches on a table that were old and not from us). The property said they had a video of the room before our arrival (which they never showed us) showing it was not there. It was our word against theirs. Luckily, my mother had a video of the room to prove that it wasn’t us but I’m afraid if it wasn’t for that they would’ve tried to charge us something else extra.
