Great for a longer stay not just an overnight stop before your flight

It's a small, but very comfortable apartment in a quiet neighbourhood, far from the hustle and bustle of London, yet within one hour train or bus ride/drive to the capital, Cambridge and other beautiful Essex sights. The host is extremely helpful, we had a very pleasant chat about everything :-). The apartment is equipped with a small fridge, an electric kettle, a microwave, toaster and an air fryer. The host provided us with milk, a selection of cereals and preserves, as well as some tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed is big and comfy. I’d read comments about it being too soft, and I had been a bit worried as I have back problems, but although it did seem soft, it was also very comfortable. The bathroom is good, the shower being great – spacious, with strong water pressure, hot and nice. There are enough sockets there, some basic kitchen utensils, a table with two chairs, a flat TV and a hair dryer. It’s an 18-minute walk to the station (be sure to use the shortcut), a 2 to 20-minute walk to bus stops (depending on where you want to go), there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area (we recommend The Wood Grill). The town has two supermarkets – Tesco Express and Coop – both with a limited assortment of goods, but quite sufficient. As the apartment is located in the close vicinity of Stansted Airport, it’s mainly used as an overnight stop. However, it’s a perfect place to stay for a longer time and explore the area.

Personally, I could do with a bigger fridge (but I understand it wouldn't fit in there) and bigger bath towels. Otherwise - no drawbacks whatsoever.

The apartment was excellent! Very comfortable and homely. Added bonus of breakfast being left for us (bread, jams, cereals, milk etc). Would definitely stay here again and recommend too! Thank you Edita and Dan.

I would’ve given this a 10 out of 10 if not for the mattress! Too soft and lumpy as a result I now have a sore back which I’m sure we’ll go in a couple of days but I would highly recommend changing it.

Clean, convenient, easy to find, good shower and good for countryside walking.

When flying from Stanstead we usually stay in a hotel close to the airport. This time we decided to try something different. Staying in the village of Stanstead Mountfitchett was really good. The area has a lot of offer, we managed to do a lovely walk through local woods and around the countryside which is right on your doorstep. The host had provided us with tea, coffee, bread , jam and cereals.

All good, though the bed was a little soft for our preference.

Excellent property near to Stansted

Everything was as expected (and more) so much so that we are going back soon.

Perhaps a note saying that when entering the property lift the handle up then down. We tried opening by simply pressing down and couldn't get in. It took several tries!!

The apartment was super clean, very comfortable, excellent attention to detail and the I’d happily stay here again!!

Decorated to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean! Private parking was directly outside, a great bonus for me as I am disabled! The host came to introduce herself and said to contact her if I needed anything. An excellent feature was that the host provided fresh milk, bread, butter, preserves and cereals alongside tea/coffee/ biscuits which was a lovely touch! I would recommend this apartment to anyone and would definitely stay here again!

The bed was a little too soft for me but that is just personal preference.

The apartment had everything we needed. Only a 10 minute drive to Stansted Airport too which was a bonus. Along with tea, coffee,milk there was cereal which we appreciated as it was an early start.

Brilliant!

Very close to the airport in a nice quiet location. Well maintained , very clean and the hosts had very kindly left some fresh milk and essentials and so I really appreciated a nice cuppa and a biscuit after a long journey. Nice, comfy big bed too.

A beautifully appointed apartment with easy parking. Great location with a nearby pub (Rose & Crown a 2 minute walk). Stansted village about a 10 minute stroll. Dan (the owner) very welcoming and helpful. 100% would stay again.

Room was incredibly hot, tiny fridge was struggling to keep drinks and icepacks cool, bed was VERY soft. I do recognise my opinion might be swayed by the fact it was a very hot night when I stayed there!

Good accommodation, a short distance from Stansted airport.

The accommodation was very clean, perfect location for an early morning flight at Stansted. Parking was good. Property was nicely presented.

The only reason I marked the property down was the bed. Unfortunately, this is down to personal preference as we prefer a more firmer mattress. For us the bed was too soft and it is for this reason only why we would be reluctant to book again.

This place is really nice nestled in a very pretty town. It has everything you need for a short stay. I met the host who was very helpful and offered suggestions for eating. Lovely choices of teas and breakfast cereals - very classy wish I had a longer stay.
