Couldn't wait to get out

Location, everything else was such a let down

The place was dirty as soon as we got there we had to clean and disinfect the place. , old food in cupboards that weren't cleaned out, most of the light fixtures were broken and hanging above our head in the bedroom, holes in the tops of the windows so you heard everything outside, the remote for TV wasn't working, we couldn't get the hot water to work so I had texted and waited over 12 hours for a reply. I figured it out myself in the meantime. We were told the heating gauge was above the sofa in the living room but it was obviously removed and therefore didn't work. The bins were full outside and smelled bad, there were obviously there for a while. Place smelt musty, the stairs were really narrow also. My phone fell under the sofa so I bent down to get it and there were toys left from previous family and wrappers and rice on the floor. No effort to clean anything at all was made. The front door timber looked like it would come off at any minute. We couldn't cook as the oven was disgustingly dirty.

Decent enough stay

Very close to the venue we were attending so location was great and fit for purpose. Beds were comfortable. The lady was good with her correspondence about the house and very quick to return the deposit.

Was expensive to stay on the shore road especially considering the house wasn’t the cleanest. The kitchen floor was a bit grubby and there were lots of cobwebs in different areas in the house. Think £150 bank transfer for the deposit is a bit steep too.

Location is right near the bus stop

The lock box with instructions on how to use the key was good. Bed was comfortable and shower easy to use. Great location for catching the bus into the city and a supermarket across the road. Modern. Host always helpful and contactable.

The front door lock was a major issue. Once we got in, we couldn’t get out. Had to get the owner to come and open the door. It’s a known problem and hasn’t been fixed. Very stressful being locked in a house and you can’t get out. Major fire hazard. Had to ring owner to find where the towels were located and the hot water switch. Boiler was in a cupboard that needed resetting. There needs to be an instruction book on what to do and where to find things to save you the stress of contacting the owner continually. She was always helpful though which was a bonus. Plus no toiletries available.

the property wasn’t very clean, hairs found in the bed, stairs could have done with a hoover! We had a little trouble with the key opening the front door, very stiff. Property bit tired here and there with quite few scuffs and holes to the walls which could do with freshen up Taps cold & hot where the wrong way round in the bathroom

A frying would have been great but we survived without! I would also have liked more towels, but again as with pan we managed perfectly well.

Very close to lidl and asda, nice shower and good linen. Beds reasonably comfortable and WiFi was good. Not in the city center but the walk into town isn't bad and it's close to the bus stop.

The kitchen was not very well equipped in terms of pots/pans despite the storage space. Pictures had recently been removed from the wall and the dints in the wall were still there, as were some of the pictures.

The property was clean and spacious. Very convenient area as there’s Lidl across the road and Asda a minute away. Parking is free and right in front of the apartment

the boiler had a fault on the 25th of December and went to sleep with no heating. The owner was notified on the 25th and the problem got fixed on the 26th

House uncared for, it needs a really good clean

It is a nice house, the beds are very comfortable and it is convenient to supermarkets and town centre. Good TV and Wi fi was excellent.

It was dirty, the floors and carpets had not been cleaned in a long while, we saw old toenail clippings in the carpet!! Some bins had not been emptied, the main bin out the back was so full we couldn’t empty the kitchen bin when we left. There are only three dining chairs, two dinner plates and no frying pan. The wall mirror in one of the bedrooms was smashed and propped against a wall. The front door was hard to open until we realised that the handle had to be held firmly up when turning the key.

convenient for Belfast port

beds and pillows are not comfortable, very hard mattress and rock hard pillows kitchen was grimy… outer door of fridge was dirty with lots of finger marks; glass kitchen table was grubby. No toilet roll supplied so after a late arrival after a 4 hour journey we had to go in search of an open shop.. not ideal. i informed the host directly and she did not apologise or seem even slightly bothered ! toilet rolls are a necessity.
