Really lovely comfortable apartment which enabled us to explore Normandy on foot, bicycle, motorbike, train and bus!

It had all the facilities we needed for 10 nights in Bayeux. Excellent WiFi. Flexibility around meals was the biggest plus for us especially due to dietary intolerances which can make eating out difficult. There are only so many Galettes one can eat! Very quiet location especially at night.

The smell from the cafe next door when trying to cool the apartment.

Convenient location. Good for two night stay as a base for Normandy tours.

Location was very good. Quiet. Easy walk from train station. Close to Tapestry Museum & Place de Quebec to meet guide for Normandy tour. Close to restaurants and gift shops. Host was amenable to early check-in.

Although we had the address of the apartment, the entry was not marked. We had to ask staff at the adjoining sandwich shop where the access was; and this was after I tried to enter the neighbors' home! The rooms were adequate with basic kitchen items, including fridge, microwave, and electric kettle.

Very small and no amenities like shampoo or soap. Also, quite a number of messages from the management asking what time we were leaving, etc.

Clean and tidy apartment, in a great location.

All the specific requests for us to virtually clean the apartment before we left-plus all the hidden requirements that you do not find out until you book and pay for it. A fuzzy and cumbersome way to provide accommodation.

Bayeux Visit.

Nice apartment. Quiet location. Close to D-Day tour, Cathedral Notre Dame and Bayeux Tapestry. Easy access by code. Clear instructions for TV, wi-fi etc. Walk to railway station. All the above 😃 = good holiday.

No Parking despite being advertised with parking

Great location, property was adequately furnished and stocked. Beds were 2 singles pushed together and one side was lumpy and quite uncomfortable.

I booked this property because it as advertised with parking, on receiving instructions for access I was told that there is NO PARKING. This was a major disappointment and as Bayeux is pretty much parked up all day, caused us a lot of inconvenience.

Shady

We couldn’t leave our backpacks without being charged a fee. Then when they finally let us in we were told we had to be the maid. Strip the beds, do the dishes take out the trash. When I am on vacation I don’t do those things. We also had no WiFi while there. It was very chilly because it was spring. Since we are not European we had no idea how to turn on the heat. It took a while to figure it out. The best part of this stay was the location. They circumvented booking.com by demanding a security deposit after we had paid through booking.com. I still don’t have my security deposit back so as of now it cost us €200.00 more!

Excellent location for exploring Bayeux

Everything worked well, and the bed was super comfortable. The location was excellent, very close to the beautiful cathedral, the must-see Tapestry Museum, and fabulous restaurants. The support staff for the apartment were really friendly and helpful.

Great location very close to the cathedral and restaurants.

The apartment was advertised in booking.com that it had private parking which it did not. We found some parking but it wasn’t ideal as the parking was why we made this booking. The induction burner did not work and needed to get it looked at. Management came the next day and fixed it. Bathroom fan would cut out after a few seconds. Toilet needed a scrub.

First time we ever immediately checked back out of a property.

Location

Host showed up late to meet us. No air conditioning available. Host suggested we leave windows open to get air. On a ground floor, that did not seem safe to us. Spoke very little English, communication was hard. The door double deadbolt situation was very odd. It took the host several minutes to get into the door. Communicating via Booking.com app was good at first and then nothing. We immediately found another hotel and called host to come back meet us to get keys. She came in to get keys and I had to remind her to check the apartment that we had not used or damaged anything. We lost our money for 2 nites stay, but security of no open windows and air conditioning was necessary for peace of mind.

Miserable.

We thought the location had potential.

Very very small. We left after the first night when the hot water stopped during my shower with a head full of conditioner. The water turned ice cold and never returned to any warmth. I ended up rinsing my hair out 45 minutes later with ice cold water bent over trying not to freeze. The host never answered our texts for assistance. The instructions also required the trash to be taken out to a specific container before we left and to strip the sheets from the bed...wow. Would not recommend.

Barely passible as rental. Fredericks aim is to make money, with as little effort as possible.

Frederic wasn’t concerned about my welfare, as much as renting the apartment. He and Lorene did what was minimally necessary to rent the place, but that’s all. I made a cup of tea, and there was scum on top of the liquid. Almost out of soap for bath & kitchen. When pointed out to Lorene, she said nothing, and no soap was brought in. Toilet was almost unhinged from the unit. Deadbolts on the front door made me wonder what the problem was with Bayeux community. wouldn’t go back to this place.

parfait et confortable

L'appartement est flambant neuf et impeccable, doté de tout le confort moderne et situé à proximité de la gare. L'hôte est très sympathique et répond toujours rapidement aux messages.

Un petit détail : nous ne pouvons ni passer d'appels ni envoyer de SMS car il n'y a pas de réseau téléphonique dans l'appartement ; nous ne pouvons communiquer que par internet Wi-Fi.
