Location was centrally located in Bayeux. It was very quiet and safe on a gated property. It also accommodated our rental car on the property which was a great benefit.
This property was great, and the owner and her family were so friendly and welcoming! We will definitely recommend it to any of our friends visiting the Normandy region!
The only minor thing that we missed having was access to a washing machine....

We recently enjoyed a truly fabulous stay in Bayeux, and our accommodation was a major highlight. Our host, Claire, was an absolute delight, meeting us with a warm welcome and providing invaluable advice on local eateries and sights. The house, charmingly named a "tiny house," was remarkably spacious and exquisitely decorated. It felt like stepping into a curated dream, filled with an abundance of beautiful French antiques that gave it the feel of a cherished family home. Claire had thought of everything, providing all the necessary supplies, right down to shopping bags and a much-appreciated rain umbrella. Beyond the lovely interior, the huge garden was a fantastic addition, offering space for relaxation and even equipped with children's toys and sleepouts. This is definitely a place we'd return to!

This charming, 'not so tiny' house in the heart of Bayeux, is perfectly positioned in a central historic location that puts you within walking distance of the town's medieval attractions and renowned Bayeux Tapestry. Claire's property features a secure gated courtyard that provides both privacy and peace of mind, while the elegant and charming decor creates a delightful atmosphere that perfectly complements the historic setting. Claire is a very responsive host and ensures any questions or needs are quickly addressed. The fabulous gardens offer a beautiful outdoor space to relax and unwind after exploring the picturesque Normandy region.
Nothing could have made this visit more perfect.

Location was perfect, one block off the main road with restaurants and shops, one block from where the tours meet. Easy access with a parking spot. Beautiful patio and garden area to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The only thing I didn’t like was how deep the bathtub was so a little difficult to get in and out of the shower, but our hotel in Paris was the same so I think that is standard in France.

The price was quite good. I can see why some people would like it…price can be everything. 🙂 The property is older as in vintage with a nice yard& pretty vegetation. The main house is vintage, the rental unit attached is more like a Mobil home. The owner Claire is very nice. The house is right next to ( actually practically in) the very nice town. It is very close to Omaha Beach -30 minutes and 1.5 hours from Mont San Michele. Very good location for the sights.
The road work made it almost impossible to get to or leave the property. The property was not overly clean. The bath towels were like sandpaper and you received 2 medium towels each for the week. The furniture was old and the couch in the bedroom had a blanket draped over it as it needed bad reupholstering. The carpet/rug in the living room was dirty as were some of the dishes in the cabinets. There were open bags of flour and very old oils in the kitchen cabinets & on the shelves. The bedding looked old and was a mauvish color. No nice white sheets in this house. Overall a bit dingy and definitely not fresh. Appliances were minimal.

Firstly the friendly and helpful communication with Claire, my host which made accessing the property very easy.
the furnishings and decor were tasteful and comfortable and everything I needed was provided as I self cater a lot, this was great!
The location just off the main street was a huge bonus as was the off street private parking. For several days I didn’t need to move my car.
Will definitely stay here again when in Bayeux.

The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated 2 sinks in the bath. We loved sitting outside. One evening we especially enjoyed a traditional French dinner on the terrace at the house. We went to the Charcuterie Store down the street and had the owner suggest cheeses, meats and a wine. We went to our favorite boulangerie and picked up a couple of Baguettes and enjoyed the cool evening on the terrace as the birds were singing. It was perfect. There are several places to walk for delicious French pastries. The bakery around the corner that we frequented was Boulangerie Capucine. They have a variety of delicious croissants and cafes (cafe au lait was my favorite) for early tours, as well as sandwiches for your lunches for tours. We also found a grocery store a couple blocks away for various items, they have fruits, vegetables, desserts, as well as wines. The restaurants along the streets are plentiful and vary in price. All are very quaint and can be reserved earlier in the day, with dining inside or outside. We were so impressed by the location of the house and the proximity of the many places in Bayeux and the surrounding areas. The Bayeux Tapestry is across the street and we were amazed at the intricacies of the needle point combined with the history that is told. The beautiful Cathedral is within walking distance and the melodic bells can be heard chiming. The Normandy World War II museum is within walking distance (although a long distance), but very rewarding to experience if you are unable to make the Normandy tours. The pick up for most tours is around the corner from the house. Various tours are available. We went to the WWII Omaha/Utah D-Day Beach Tour and Mont Ste. Michel. Both are very worthwhile, if you have the time. The D-Day Beaches also take you to the American Cemetary and Cathedral where 82nd and 101st Airborne landed.
With parking at a premium in Bayeux, we found that the secured parking area at the house was a significant benefit.
Having to leave 😢
We would like to have had a small safe for our passports and valuables.

The house is in a very secluded and private location with off street parking. It's very close to the centre of Bayeux, making it very easy to discover this beautiful city on foot. Not only is the house beautifully decorated, the main living area has large windows overlooking the enchanting walled garden.
We didn't like the cold wind blowing from the north but that wasn't Claire's fault!

Having travelled extensively, the Little House is on top of the list. Short walk from the train. It is only 40 metres from one of the loveliest main streets we have encountered, full of great Patisserie's, bakeries, restaurants, supermarkets and lot more, all within 100 metres or so, of the house. The owner Claire and her adult children were all very friendly polite generous and helpful. The facilities at the house were first rate and we ate in often it was so nice, particularly looking out on the back garden. A 50 metre walk to get to the tour vehicle departure point, near the creek running through the town, was a bonus. Could also hear the church bells softly ringing in the house. The bed was very comfortable.

Convenient to everything. Nice soft bed and great shower with hot water. Appreciated being met at our arrival and having procedures explained. Also enjoyed the water and cider that was left there for us. Easy checkout. Great host.
The driveway was a little dark to walk up. at night when coming in after dark.

This house is in a perfect location, is private and has its own parking. The inside is lovely and spacious. We walked everywhere. In the evenings when you settle in, this home is so quiet and peaceful. You’ll be able to relax and get a great night’s sleep after a day of touring. In our month of traveling France and staying at 11 BnBs, this was by far our favorite.
