WELCOME Bayeux

Close to town center, spacious house, kitchen stocked with enough coffee for morning after late arrival. Word to the wise on traveling by train to Bayeux: don’t rely on the announcement over the loudspeaker that you’re approaching the Bayeux stop, rather rely on TIME. Coming from Caen, there were multiple stops with the announcement of each tiny village, then another stop with no announcement at all. By the time we looked outside to see the name “Bayeux” on the station, the one-minute stop was over. This was 8:24 pm. Thankfully for us (two rather petite middle age women), there was one remaining train returning to Bayeux from the next town that night. The host, Didier waited almost another hour at the train station to bring us to the property. He was the best part of this rental!! Merci encore, Didier!!

It was all on point.

The property was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It is conveniently located around the corner from Place du Québec where we got picked up for day tours to the sites. Bayeux is very walkable and this place is in a great spot. The grocery store is a couple minute walk up the street where we picked up some food to make. Our host thought of everything with this property. Lots of reading material about the area along with books from the info office that is located close by. We could not be any more pleased with our stay as it was absolutely fantastic. The generosity and kindness our host showed us will always be remembered.

Very comfortable!! I’m 6’4 and heavy and didn’t have any issues climbing to the top floor. All good!! The most facilitated kitchen ever. All the right tools you’d need for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
