The house was quaint, perfectly located in the centre of Bayeux. The shower was excellent! Didier was very helpful. He wanted to meet us but we were delayed and so he left the key in the safe but came the next day to welcome us.

We loved the quaint old stairs but they wouldn't be great for those with limited mobility.

Great location in the medieval city of Bayeaux

The owner was incredible kind and helpful. And this was a perfect place to stay and visit within Bayeaux and to the D-Day beaches. We were also there for the Bayeaux midieval festival which was wonderful!

Easy Peasy!

Bayeux is a wonderful town. People were friendly and welcoming. There are many historical sites. The location that we stayed at was close to many of them. If you’re a walker it’s great. If not, getting around may be problematic

Nothing, it was great. There are many restaurants to select from. If you don’t like one, select another or just get a chocolate croissant. It really is what you make of it. You are close to the Normandy beaches a must see!

Great location! Could not ask for better. Close to free parking, as well. The host was the nicest host I’ve ever stayed with! He had all of the amenities for our baby set up and ready, such as a crib with sheets, high chair and bib, baby bath, etc. He was so kind to do that! Also was very understanding when we had travel delays and offered up his time to assist us.

Lovely stay in Bayeux

Location was perfect. Along the main street but in a quiet corner. A supermarket and many good eateries around. Tourist information centre is nearby too. Bayeux is compact to walk around with the accommodation in the right spot to do so. Spacious place. One toilet on the first floor. Second toilet and shower area on the second floor. 2nd floor has the living room with a sofa bed to sleep 2 persons. Main bedroom for 3 persons is on 3rd floor. Well stocked kitchen. There was even a shopping trolley for groceries provided. Washing machine available for use too. The owner, Didier, is very friendly and accommodating. He offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived and even dropped us off at the station when we left. Really appreciate that.

Main bedroom can be a little stuffy. A fan would help circulate the air especially on rainy nights when we had to shut the windows. The stairs to the floors are narrow. Can be a struggle to take the suitcases up. Shower area only has shower gel. Do bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner.

Delightful!

Super convenient location

3 story apartment with bedroom on the top floor. If you are tall (6’3” +), you will have a hard time on the top floor. Husband is 6’5”, but we made it work!

Superb

This apartment is superb. Didier the owner picked us up at the train station and showed us around Bayeux before dropping us off at the apartment. The location is a short walking distance to shops and the Bayeux tapestry and also to the pickup point for day tours to the D Day sites. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. We would love to come back again. Didier very kindly drove us back to the train station when it was time to leave.

A great home base to explore Normandy, enjoy a smaller French community and view the Bayeux tapestry.

Wonderful property built in the 1700s! But updated with all the modern facilities. Lots of room, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a short or extended stay. Centrally located close to the best cafes, restaurants and historic sites. Grocery store etc close at hand. We drove to Bayeux from Dieppe and easily located the property. The owners met us and showed us how everything worked.

Great location with lots of room.

Great location. Ample room and lots of amenities. Super shower and the washing machine was a huge bonus. The second floor living room area was very nice and bright. The host, Didier, was very kind and easy to communicate with.

Be aware that you have to go down a spiral staircase to get to the bathroom from the bedroom. There is a bar on the street behind the apartment. On one night out of six it was extremely noisy. It may have been because it was a holiday weekend. Fortunately, by moving to the sofa bed on the second floor we could get away from the noise. We did not have any issues with it besides that one night.

Our stay was fantastic. The Owner/Host worked with us when we had a change in plans mid-stay.

The house was spacious, lots of natural light, well appointed bathroom and bedroom. Very clean inside and out. Parking provided. The Owner/Host was very kind, helpful and caring as my husband ended up in the hospital. Safe, secure, all on one level. Very close to everything in old town.

The internet signal could be a bit stronger. Once you are in the bedroom, the signal drops precipitously.

Despite helpful host, stairs at the property felt too unsafe to stay.

The host picked us up on time at the train station and dropped us off at the train station at the end of our visit to Bayeux, even though we ended up staying in a different hotel.

The ladder-like spiral staircase with the rickety railing to the 3d floor bedroom felt so unsafe that we (two tall, large 60-year-old people) left the property and took a hotel room elsewhere.

Nice B&B!

This B&B is excellently located. It is clean, comfortable, and very well stocked. The shower is good, and beds are great. Parking is available in front. The owner is very sweet and helpful. Be aware this is 3 levels if stairs are an issue.

Location was great. Bathroom brand new well equipped with towels, shampoo,… Two toilets, comfortable livingroom. Well equipped kitchen.

Maybe that the kitchen was at street level. The stairs were to narrow and steep for handicapped or older people. For the rest all was perfect.

Apart from the Roadworks we would recommend using this apartment

House was as described and in a great location.

Unfortunately when we arrived we discovered there were major roadworks being carried out outside the whole street so parking was impossible. Obviously this was not the fault of the owner but we think we should have been informed of this prior to our arrival. We were woken up at 0700 daily. The road works were a shame as other wise the apartment was great. The apartment had everything you need to go self catering and when we met the host he was very pleasant .

Bayeux is a great, friendly small town, and we will definitely return for our next visit to France.

The house is just a few dozen steps from the edge of town, where you can grab a coffee and croissant at the baker. The host is so nice and welcoming and even provided us a ride to the train station when he saw how much luggage we had. The kitchen was well-equipped and he provided some water and some basic cooking supplies (salt, sugar, coffee).

Being so close to town, there is a nearby bar with late-night revelers over the weekend. If you have a problem with steep stairs, just be careful going up and downstairs as it is an older home.

Wonderful location and host

Location was incredible. Comfortably fit our family of five. Didier was a wonderful host. very thoughtful, and always available by text.

Ground floor was chilly, even with heater on. But this wasn’t a big deal since the upper levels with bedrooms were plenty warm. There were some cobwebs, but everything else seemed clean, and we didn’t mind them since they were in high corners.

I had been worried as there was no airco and it was hot. I asked the host if I therefore needed to bring fans. I was told that it was an old house with thick walls so that it would not be necessary. And for once that was true!

It is mentioned that there is no garden or balcony, and it would be impossible to set one so one shouldn’t complain. Luckily as it is so close to the centre one could go to sit on the terrasse of a cafe

So close to downtown, made it so easy to walk around and see the city.

The owner was very helpful when working with us. He gave us a ride to car rental on last day and made sure we were set with a car before leaving. The place was perfectly located! We were able to walk downtown within minutes. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Vivienda de 3 pisos (1 piso cocina y baño pequeño, 2 piso sala y baño grande, 3 piso habitacion con 1 cama doble y otra pequeña) en la calle principal de Bayeux, a pocos mins de la oficina de turismo. Equipada con todo lo necesario, como estar en tu propia casa (un monton de toallas, jabon de lavadora y lavavajillas, aceite, sal, cafe, carro de la compra, colgador de ropa y plancha, panfletos y librillos con info sobre el pueblo y el Dia D...) Parking gratis en la misma calle o alrededores. Didier el anfitrion muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Una estancia muy satisfactoria.

A nosotros no nos importó pero hay que estar subiendo y bajando escaleras todo el rato y son estrechas, y la habitacion tiene el techo tipo atico
