Great location. Comfortable bed. Everything we needed for a short stay in Staithes.

Very nicely presented and clean.

Front entrance could be more attractive. Complementary hand soap would not cost much to provide. Perhaps UHT milk too, given there are no provisions stores nearby (that are open after 5.30pm, when we arrived).

Lovely little cottage just right for the two of us. Had everything we needed for a short break away. Bed very comfortable! Fabulous location.

First off - the location is superb! Right in the middle of the village so easy access to everywhere. The space in the property is also decent, with a large bedroom and good compact living space.

This property lacks any care, it's such a shame. The property is untidy and unclean, and lacks some basic facilites. The instructions to enter are incorrect (You don't turn the key anticlockwise!) and the key lock box rusted and covered in cobwebs. The property needs a damn good clean and sort out. The paint work downstairs is in need of redoing as it is is chipped and scuffed all over, the windows (all but one locked shut) need a clean inside and out, the bedroom black-out blind is broken (and just left discarded in the bedroom) so you will be awake at 5:30am wether you want to be or not. Bulb out in bathroom, cobwebs in bedroom and dirty brown dripping stains in two places on the white wall behind the headboard! (Don't ask!) and hoover just left standing in the bedroom. Throughout the property the electrics are overloaded with multiple extensions and every plug socket stuffed with endless plugs, so much so there is nowhere to plug a phone charger in beside the bed, and you can't have the kettle AND the toaster on at the same time - you have to switch the plugs over! Bundles of cables all over the place looking untidy and dangerous. The cupboard interiors are dirty and unkept. The kitchen is poorly stocked unless you want to drink out of a bizarre selection of mistached pint and sherry glasses - all of which I had to wash before I used, they were that dirty. The coffee pot was smashed yet put back, meaning when you picked it up you risked slicing your hand on the exposed glass shard! I wouldn't mind so much but it was on display on the dressor! - surely a cleaner should be checking all of these things. ZERO ability to recycle (Come on! its 2026!!!!) and one measly bin bag provided for a weeks stay! Never fear though, when you've finally done from dealing with all of the above you can take a seat and relax by starring at the Henry hoover and the used mop and bucket that are "displayed" in the corner of the living room!
