Cliff Crest Cottage

This cottage is in a perfect location. Just off the main street, overlooking the water, close to Cobbles for pizzas, coffees and ice creams. I think it possibly has one of the best outside areas in Staithes. The kids spent hours crabbing off the decking, whilst we could enjoy drinks and food on the patio. Inside, the beds were clean and comfortable, the bath was perfect and the water was hot. The kitchen had every utensil you could need.

The bathrooms, beds, kitchen surfaces etc were clean. However, the rest of the property would benefit from a deep clean. There are also areas of the cottage that are in need of a little TLC, considering the price point.

Beautiful location and house was lovely with some really quirky features ( the lampshades were amazing) it was well equipped for 6 people and the decking/outside space was a bonus.

There were a lot of bulbs in the light fittings that weren't working in various rooms.

Location is excellent with lovely views of the estuary and sea.

Only slight issue was the bed in the smaller double room - it was extremely high! My 6’2 husband struggled at first! Also caught our legs on the wooden slats sticking out at the base, had to actively prevent my 5 year old from scratching herself

Location was fabulous. House was big and games room was great. DVD library great. Outdoor space fantastic.

House smelled unclean. Broken skirting board. Only surface level clean, lots of dust and cobwebs. Outside area dirty. For the amount paid for a two night stay I expected perfection and was very disappointed.
