Good location, flat needs updated.

Good location in bowness

We were disappointed with the overall condition of the flat. While the location was good, the interior felt quite dated and did not meet expectations for the price paid (£300+). The carpets appeared old and unclean and would benefit from replacement, and the bedding also seemed in need of updating. The bathroom, in particular, felt unhygienic, with dirty grout in the shower and floors that did not appear to have been properly cleaned. Basic provisions were also limited, with only a very small amount of toilet roll provided. Overall, the flat did not feel clean or well maintained, which impacted our stay.

Lovely Apartment

Nice bright, light property with lovely view of Windermere. Good quality fixtures, lots of kitchen equipment. Good comfy sofas. Very central but just off the main area so quiet at night with no disturbances.

The mattress on the main bed should be replaced, it slopes to one side. The towels could do with renewing. These are relatively minor issues and did not spoil our holiday.

Bowness Retreat.

Awesome location, clean place and absolutely stunning view from the window. Nice family friendly area, plenty options to eat out or eat in if preferred. Shops/restaurants and pier were very close, roughly 7-8 mins walk.

Parking was a bit awkward, better organisation or reserved space / designated space for each room would be much better. Too many cars were already there when we arrived, wasn't sure if some had visitors or random people parked there due to "free parking" / felt like first come first basis.

Everything you could want from a short break accommodation

Fantastic location, there is a short and steep hill up to the property from the high street area. Once inside there are beautiful views over the lake. There is an extensive inventory of equipment within the property including washing machine, dishwasher, baby bath seat even emergency torches!

Enjoyed the view from the property, closeness to shops and other amenities, and free parking.

Great view of the lake from the front windows, very close to shops and the harbour, free parking and excellent shower.

Shared entrance and stairs to property was a bit grubby, also the carpet in living room. Floor under the sofas need regular cleaning as our dog managed to find some chocolates under one of the sofas.

central location and parking space

Internet code not in the apt but we eventually found it on the building landing. Didn't realise it was a first floor flat until we had booked. This makes it more difficult with a dog.

Great location. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need in a self catering property

Cleaning standards were well below that of previous visit to this property. A dog friendly property but I didn’t expect there to be lots of dog hairs on sofa and around edges of carpet in the bedrooms. Very dusty and lots of hairs under and behind bed. I dropped something and had cause to look under bed on my hands and knees and was shocked. No one has been behind or under beds in months. I did take photos. Communal entrance hall and stairs were dirty on arrival and never cleaned in the week we stayed Several cobwebs around and on closer inspection areas around light switches, door handles and cupboard doors had residue and finger marks. On our last visit this property was immaculate hence my rebooking but was disappointed this time

Great Central stay

Central location lots of shops and restaurants. Great holiday home very clean and had everything you needed. Great parking and pet friendly.

Hard to find. Just go to the big white building not the others as you approach.
