Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the world

The location was excellent. The cottage was very comfortable and there was ample parking. Bed was really good. Nice quality bed linen. Loved the fire place (electric). Made the cottage feel cosy.

Basic things like facial tissues, paper towels, salt & pepper should be standard. Even though we received specific instructions for the address our GPS led us to the next lane which was for Meadowcroft Cottages. Someone else who got lost was able to redirect us. It was dark for our arrival so the lane was easy to miss. We had put the specific address in the GPS.

Would recommend this property

Great location . Loved the private road made a lovely walk into the village. House was tastefully decorated and all equipment was well thought out . Two bedrooms were very nice with en suites . Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing was actually wrong . Did notice the windowsills were all full of flies and blinds were dirty. Guess on a normal cleaning turnaround these would not get done but every now and again another hour would be good to add on to carry out additional cleaning .

Lovely cortage, perfect for a weekend away with friends

The property is absolutely lovely. Well decorated, spacious and it’s in an amazing location. Would define stay here again!

My major bug bear was with Sykes cottages as their communication systems are atrocious.

Very comfy, lovely and modern apart from the outside areas.

Nice and modern. Very comfortable. All facilities at the property. A lovely and quiet location. An easy walk into Bowness.

Upvc lats on window in bedroom dropped off. Place could have done with a final dust before arrival. Toilet seat broken and should be soft close . The outside areas definitely needed cleaning and weeding. A large weed was right outside the back door. Plant pots all need sorting and cleaning. The bistro set needs repairing and cleaning and maybe storing for use as opposed to being left outside. Maybe comfier outside seating would be good too. The yard at the back needs a good renovation.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful place

It’s a wonderful house in a great location. Very-well equipped. Ideal for families, couples, and friends. Quiet residential neighbourhood but just minutes away from Windermere. The invisible host was an extra benefit!

Gorgeous and comfortable stay in October

Beautiful property in a quiet location - it had everything that we could possibly need. Super comfortable bed and great facilities. We loved the interior design throughout the house but especially in the living/dining/kitchen area - so cosy and uplifting, we didn’t want to leave!

Great property in a lovely neighbourhood within a shot walk from the lake and town centre.

The location was in an ideal location, a short walk from the lakeside and into Bowness on Windermere.

All the furniture was of a high spec and colour coordinated. Attention to detail had been taken to tastefully decorate this property.

When we arrived at check in time the cleaner was still there and hadnt finished. We luckily noticed water dripping out of a light fitting which was worrying Reported this immediately and a leaky toilet valve was repaired but there was no communication during it after the repairs from the owners

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this property.

Cute little garden and interior tastefully done, location great for Bowness and for other day trips! We had everything we needed in the property from hairdryers to wash tablets, bin bags etc. Made a change to go to a property where everything dish/utensil wise was thought about!

Showers went cold after couple of us used them, how to boost water would be useful for a family. Smelled of fish throughout the house this was a little off putting. We could get blinds in living and kitchen area to work.

Excellent location, super clean, comfortable beds, underfloor heating, good kitchen (no extractor), excellent smartTV, good instructions, speedy wifi, free parking; secluded location yet in a community space; great walks by the lake

Hardly anything to dislike - perhaps tea/coffee/bread/milk may be a good idea with some fruit; those who arrive late from a long drive, there is not much nearby in terms of shops.

Clean, well presented in a great location close to lake & town. Neat little cleaning pack for kitchen. Quiet location and property looks bit smaller on pics than actually reality 👍 great for 4 adults. Warm & plenty of hot water. Everything there you need.

Gorgeous property with all mod cons. The fire is a particularly lovely feature, bed comfortable and beautifully appointed property.

We were there over Xmas and whilst it didn’t specifically say that there would not be decorations it would have been a nice touch to have a few.

Very comfortable and welcoming place to stay - well equipped and excellent decor - could not fault it at all.

Nothing but we had not realised the distance to the centre of Bowness - a 10/15 minute walk but this did not cause us a problem.
