Nice location with good facilities - recommended as a dog friendly venue

Great location - nice and quiet but not too far from the centre of Bowness. Having the en-suite as well as a separate bathroom was very convenient. We travelled with our dog so having the garden was also handy.

Fabulous cottage with a lovely garden close to everything we needed. We loved our stay here.

We loved the cosy atmosphere of the cottage and it had everything we needed. The wood burning stove was so lovely to have on in the evening. Having 2 bathrooms was also an added bonus. The location was fabulous aswell.

Lovely spacious cottage. Clean and comfortable sofa & beds. Loved the log burner which made it very cosy. Very good host. Had everything you needed in the kitchen including dishwasher. Excellent shower and a bath. We would definitely stay again 😊

Nice place but wouldn’t stay again

Lovely little cottage, clean and comfortable.

The garden wasn’t attached to the property nor was it secure for my dogs. One of them got out through the plants, this caused a lot of stress and then we had to take them out on leads each time. Not relaxing for us.

A Perfect 3‑Night Stay by Lake Windermere

I had an absolutely wonderful 3‑night stay at this charming cottage just a stone’s throw from Lake Windermere. From the moment I arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in one of the most beautiful corners of the Lake District. The cottage was spotless, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up each morning to the quiet surroundings and being able to walk to the lake in just a few minutes was truly special. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee outside, taking lakeside strolls, or exploring the nearby villages, the location couldn’t have been better.

Perfect break in the Lakes!

A lovely well presented cottage. Very cosy and warm indeed. We stayed for 3 nights and had a beautiful stay. The cottage is warm and very comfortable. The shower is amazing and the sofa is wonderful for chilling out after a big day out. Log burner was a bonus too! The owner is super friendly and helpful too.

Fire alarm above the cooker kept going off, not ideal. Random dog coming into garden, possibility to fence garden area to prevent this.

Everything about the cottage exceeded our expectations. It had Everything we needed and more. Very good location for Bowness, but also in a lovely quiet area with well kept garden We would definitely recommend it and will be returning as soon as we can!
