A pleasant stay close to Bowness but lacks the styling touches of a 5 star hotel. Less fake plants and Buddhas please!

Great location near to Bowness. Warm welcome and friendly and helpful staff. The food was really good.

The styling is awful. Fake orchids are everywhere and the commoditisation of Buddha risks causing offence. The whole hotel would be much better styled with cosy, natural alpine feel. We also think you should consider requesting no phone use in the spa area to keep the whole experience more peaceful and private. We risked being on people’s selfies which is not what you want or expect from an exclusive spa. Finally the music was too loud and annoying everywhere, especially at breakfast.

Excellent location 5 min walk to the lake. Nice to receive a complimentary drink (prosecco) on arrival. Lovely hotel ambience with the spa facilities as an added facilities at no additional cost. The apartment was small but just right for a short break, offering the flexibility to have self-catering or eating out.

The bathroom basin was a bit too small and there was no hanging hooks or shelves anywhere. Would be good to have a list have items already offered in the apartment (tea, coffee, milk, pots, pans, salt/pepper, fairy etc) So that guest know not to bring with them.

everything is cheap !!! from the hairdryer to the bathroom fixtures and fittings - no water in rooms - they are selling the product as 5 star however its not - just CHEAP period

Wifi could be improved on as it kept disconnecting, however I recognise that the connectivity may just be due to the more remote area of the lake district when compared to large cities

Lack of windows in the apartment. Apartment 12 is lovely but dark. The beds are very comfy, though and the apartment was spotless .

So professional, tidy and a relaxing vibe.

We stayed in Apt14 and the master bedroom has a beam coming down from the ceiling right by the pillows which made me worry that we would knock our heads against it.

The spa and pool was lovely, the breakfast offered was fantastic and catered for gluten free when asked which we felt was superb service. It was the cleanest place we've ever stayed

We found parking difficult as there didn't appear to be enough spaces for the number of rooms within the hotel. The bathroom door in our apartment didn't lock either but this didn't detract from our stay in anyway

Great property in a great location

Loved the location. Easy walking distance into Bowness but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Super friendly staff and great facilities such as the pool, put and cocktail bar.

The aparetment was advertised as cosy and it certainly was! There wasn't much space to hang things out to dry - which would have been useful on some rainy days in the Lakes

Excellent, but spoilt by limited pool availability for my daughters.

We’ve stayed before and the service, quality of the rooms and friendliness of staff was excellent, this is why we came back.

One of the main reasons for picking this hotel was that I was accompanied by my two daughters 9 and 11, who love pools, as all children do. But on this 2nd visit the pool times for children we’re changed to mornings until 2pm. I’m sad to say because of this we will not be returning.

Superb

The spa, the staff, the location, the decor and the food! All totally spot on. Everything we could ask for!

The only minor improvements could have been the design of the apartment. It was nice but the lounge area was very dark as the lights were warm white energy bulbs so bit of a dull and depressing room. Perhaps cool white bulbs would have made it feel brighter. Also no lamps in the sitting room or bedroom two which would have felt more homely. There were a few design floors too. Although I expected limited head height I did have to duck every time I went into the sitting room and bedroom two I felt the beds could have been placed in a better position as they had in directly under a metal beam so my daughters head was right under it. Also the tap in the kitchen area was not easily accessible as the window sill was in the way to turn it fully to the cold position. These are all small points which I feel may be helpful to be aware of but we had a lovely stay and the complex was perfect overall and the staff lovely!

Great to treat yourself, but possibly not the best value for money.

The staff were fantastic, really outstanding service. The spa is lovely. The hotel has a couple-friendly feel so it's great for a romantic getaway.

The apartments were fine but nothing special. Parking charges are too expensive.

Loved the location, extremely close to all the amenities but also distant enough for quietness. Also loved the access to the swimming pool, which was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel.

Lack of storage in the apartment: we were 4 people staying one week and found it tricky to unpack out luggage as there were no wardrobes/shelves to unpack into.

Everything was spot on from arriving at the gate to check out. really welcoming. spot on. The Spa sauna and pool immaculate, apartment was spotless really friendly staff, great breakfast. We are definitely coming back.

Hard to find any faults

Staff were brilliant, extremely friendly but still professional. Accommodation is well presented and tidy.

Overall it was fantastic. The door entry system was a little tricky to work and also some areas of carpet are worn meaning the carpet grips poke through and they were obviously sharp to stand on. Everything else was brilliant.
