Bootham Row was one of the best accommodation experiences I've ever had - quiet, very secure for traveling alone, excellent facilities, extremely central. I stayed a full week and it had everything I needed. It was excellent and much better than many hotels I've stayed in.

The location is perfect for easily reaching York's main attractions - the York Art Gallery, the Minster, the museum gardens and even the train station were all a short walk away. Excellent restaurants nearby too - highly recommend Cafe No. 8 Bistro. There is a convenient luggage storage around the corner at the Georgian House B&B and a Sainsbury's at the corner.
Note that there is no coffee maker at the property, just a french press. This is a small quibble, but some hooks in the bathroom to hang bath towels would be a help when there is more than one person.

Great location, clean
Took 3 days to receive a fan, bed had wheels, false advertising with the controllable temperature, appliances were horrible to use - bad instructions.
