Beautiful seaside stay in an historic village

Great location, feels safe and near shops and cafes. Amazing sea view from the bedroom! The stunning castle is just up the road. The apartment is lovingly maintained with cooker, oven, fridge, washing machine and washing line in yard. Comfy beds, clean bed linen and towels. Friendly and communicative host.

After paying in full, I got a message asking to pay another £300 via an outside link... then a request for another £150 on top of that! I did not pay either (I tried to pay the £150 extra requested 'deposit', seemed fair enough, but my bank flagged and rejected it). My trip went fine, but it was really worrying. I was unsure if the property listing was even truly real until I arrived. Still not sure if the extra money requests were a miscommunication, an automated bug, or the host was hacked in a scam.

Driftwood Loft was a nice, cosy and warm place for us to stay while visiting family over Christmas.

The venue was very central in Killyleagh within easy walk of all local sites. We stayed to visit family over Christmas and it suited our purposes very well.

Although we were able to manage, we did not have enough bath towels for our party of 4 and there were no bin liners for the bins. Easy WiFi access should also be a standard expectation for guests.

A great location and comfortable bed

Great location, comfortable bed. Well resourced, it had everything we might need. Lovely food and cafe just a few meters away. Walking distance to the sea. Garage for fuel, spar and off licence Just round the corner. I like the pretty decor. We felt very safe. Plenty of space and beds for larger families. Lovely street, very colourful and a beautiful castle at the top of the road. The flat it'self is above the disused hairdresser.

The back of the house when you enter is not so pretty. The entrance is a solid metal door to the yard, tiny yard with bins. Don't let this put you off. Inside carpets are new, bedding is clean the the view from the apartment is the main rd.
