The apartments are usually very good but this time it fell well short of previous high standards.

I have stayed at Blackhomes before as the location is excellent, the apartments are usually well equipped, clean and comfortable.

This time I was disappointed. I could not close the door properly on leaving and so called on my first evening and was told this was a known issue and I just had to 'slam the door shut'. I didn't think this very satisfactory but it worked so I carried on having to disturb the neighbours every time I left the apartment, however, by the time my stay was over I couldn't get the door shut properly when I was inside - this a major issue and the lock needs to be looked at from a security point of view. In addition, there was also a good deal of damp and peeling paint around the door, two of the lights didn't work, some of the crockery was chipped and the main shower had no power.

Decent place in center

Decent location no hassle getting in, couple of nice restaurants either side, clean, enough equipment in kitchen

Should have a warning when you leave on last day the keycard won't open the door once shut, we nearly locked half our gear in the room., when transporting it to a taxi. I didn't know my friend was inside or would have been screwed. No lift ake unsuitable for disabled travelers if on the top floor

Ideal and comfortable location for Innsbruck Old Town.

The location was EXCELLENT - a really easy and quick walk from the heart of the gorgeous Innsbruck Old Town. The apartment was warm and comfortable, and the info team were super-helpful and only a message away. I would very happily stay in exactly the same place next time I'm lucky enough to visit Innsbruck.

Very close to everythng - Internet Speed terrible

Proximity to the city was less than 5 mins walk. Shower was large, and hot water was great. Checkin process was straight forward, arrived, went to a check-in kiosk, entered a booking code, paid the Tourist Tax by card, and the machine dispensed room keys. We had a ground floor room, which was great as there is no elevator that we saw.

The temperature in the room could not be adjusted. It was very hot. The internet was beyond horrible. As someone who works in IT, and 20yrs specifically working in telecommunications and networking, this would appear to be more of a guest hotspot configuration issue rather than poor internet. Wi-Fi signal was strong, download speed was around 50mbps, but upload speed was often less than 1mbps - I could not complete video calls or access cloud-based applications. The cellular reception inside was average at best, and hotspotting to my cell phone worked better than the Fibre internet service. When reported to the hosts, I simply receive a generic "sorry message". Room is very dark unless you open curtains. Bedside lights not working

Easy walk to Altstsdt

Kludgy checkin process. Especially as you stand outside in the freezing rain typing in fields of information into a kiosk. There is a better way I think. Oh wait! ONLINE CHECKIN! Coffee machine broken. ONE wineglass

We won't come back

The location is very central. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The person answering the phone when we called due to the check in machine malfunction was nice and helpful. Also the communications via booking went smooth and the people answering were nice and available.

The check in machine was not working and we took 20 minutes to enter in our room (luckily the person answering the phone was nice and helpful). The inside of the fridge smelled bad and in general the cleaning of the bathroom can be improved. The safety of the place was really unsettling as in the morning (way before the checkout time) a stranger that apparently had the same card as us opened the door of the room while we were still in bed and if for example at that time we had been out in the city, it would have been very easy to steal our belongings.

Great location for exploring Christmas Markets

The property was very close to the center of Old Town and as we went there for the Christmas Markets this was very convenient for us. We could drink as much gluhwein and walk back to the hotel. It was clean. The small kitchen was a lovely surprise with a microwave, dishwasher!, coffee machine, kettle and had plates, glasses and cutleries. The contactless check in process was smooth although read other reviews that it was not. Just had to follow instructions and go to the correct property as there are two blackhome hotels. Also had to check in at the right time unless early check in was requested. It was also very quiet unlike what the other reviews were suggesting but we came in December so might be different other times of the year.

Location was great… just across the beautiful river to Old Town

Located just across the river to the Old Town. Check-in was easy… make sure you follow the instructions BEFORE you arrive… to get your door code!

Located next to a hostel… could be quite noisy with hostel guests chatting until midnight some nights. Narrow alley to get to the location… can’t walk to the street if cars or buses are coming through… quite dangerous but people seem to manage. Two single beds pushed together… it was just me so it would have been nice to have a queen bed ‘cuz you can’t sleep in the middle!

Great location, but overlay priced for the advertised amenities

Breakfast place just got opened less than a week ago. Out of three days of stay, it got opened on time only once. However, breakfast place had good choice of food and extremely friendly attitude.

Poor communications when issues arises. TV channels were not available on first night. we were told that someone forgot to program the IP-TV box. Most of the channels in English were not available. No cleaning service or towel service available for 3 consecutive days,

NICE LOCATION

Great customer service on the phone. Check-in and Check-out were very simple and time-saving.

Our experience staying here was very mixed. On the positive side, the customer service team we contacted by phone was extremely helpful and polite throughout our stay. They really tried their best to assist us, which we appreciated. However, the overall cleanliness and condition of the rooms left a lot to be desired. We checked into two rooms. In one of them, the bed hadn’t been properly cleaned – there was hair all over it, and no bedsheet, just a thin fitted sheet through which you could see stains on the mattress. We called customer service to report the issue, and they were very helpful and arranged a new room for us, which we’re grateful for. That said, the new room wasn’t much better in terms of general cleanliness. The wooden floors were sticky, and the towels provided had brown stains on them – so off-putting that we ended up buying our own towels from a nearby store. Even worse, the next day, we saw the cleaning staff placing fresh bed linen and towels directly on the floor near the stairwell, which was honestly unacceptable. The cleaning team really needs better hygiene training – or cleaning themselves. As for the second room, it was located in a dark corner with a single small window mostly blocked by the staircase. It felt very closed in – not ideal if you’re claustrophobic. Again, the customer service team was kind enough to help us change rooms the next day when availability allowed. In short, excellent customer service over the phone, but there are serious issues with cleanliness and room quality. There is a lot of potential here if the hygiene standards are raised.

Good customer service (they respond to calls v quickly) which is important as there is no staff onsite. Apartment was budget but good value for money

Just things to be aware of: - noone onsite so it is not possible to leave a bag (eg for a few hours after checkout) - you don't get the card that most hotels give (for public transport) - old building with wooden stairs so noisy when people walk around

Great location and mostly sound isolated. Comfortable bed.

Although I had pre-arranged a luggage drop off with the customer support team ( early arrival) due to a miscommunication I was informed on arrival that this was not possible. I would have appreciated an early warning, especially since a paid taxi dropped me off to my destination and i had to lug my bag to the nearest baggage deposit. I had booked for and paid extra for an early checkin ( 12pm) and the room i was assigned was not tidied up/prepared for a new guest - I had to contact customer care to enable this - took about an hour more. They agreed to refund the extra price for the early checkin. For stays of seven days, one weekly cleaning is included - I had to proactively remind them of this by contacting customer care. It can get hot inside the room at night - opening the windows was mostly ok - except for the nights the hostel next door had raucous revelers. Travelers who get a room with a kitchenette also want to cook - but there were no basics ( salt, oil) to cook with - I had to go get full sized groceries and throw them out at the end of my stay. I have stayed at blackhome for a night before and admit that it is suitable for very short stays only.

Fantastic stay.

Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the location was perfect. Staff were great and quick to answer any questions. We loved the Nespreso coffee in the room and the shower was awesome. We were on the ground floor so we didn't have stairs to take. We would absolutely stay here again. Don't fret if the directions for self check in are not clear at time of booking. In the end, it all worked Smoothly.

Yup, that's pretty much all we can suggest to improve on, so that's very picky. The directions on where to check in, were hard to figure out at the time we booked, many months ago. I can hear clearly the sound of other people in the hallway, or when they open the door. Since our room was in the ground floor, we hear a few people every now and then, which makes it a bit hard for a light sleeper like me.

Non working Air Conditioner on Hot Summer Day :(

Is not a hotel and if you have any issue you can't contact anyone. There is a QR code in the room wall, maybe for contact info. or instructions, but the web page from the QR code is not working. Once you check out, there is no locker or someone to hold your luggage, in case of your plane/ train/ bus leaves later in the day. Nice big TV! But only for radio :( .I tried to see if I could fix it, but the TV settings were set in Russian or something. Our visit was during a hot day in Innsbruck ~32°C. Good that the room has air-conditioner. Wait, it works only as a fan and you can't change the settings :( . Wait maybe on the QR code on the wall there are instructions... I forgot the QR code doesn't work. Ok, a warm night it is... Ohhh... well, at least the bed is comfortable. Ohh no, the bedsheets are itchi... :[ That was my frustrating experience.
