We had a wonderful stay! The bed was very comfortable, and the room felt nice, cosy, and clean. The location is perfect, close to beautiful views. The owner was very kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

The path onto Dartmoor is at the end of the car park. The hosts went to the trouble to provide a detailed map of Dartmoor which was perfect for finding sights of interest in the local area. The hosts were fantastic and the room was exceptional, there was a coffee machine in the room complete with pods. The hot tub was outstanding. There is a village pub across the road that serves delicious food.

A base while attending a wedding locally. The Fox Tor did a very good breakfast.

Bed comfortable and jacuzzi excellent. This property is especially designed for the rambler to be able to rest if not camping. Staff welcoming with excellent knowledge of facilities in the area as well as the local walks.

Perfect location, perfect king suite, reasonably priced

Everything was just like being home! Comfortable bed, spacious room and our host Terry couldn’t do enough to make our stay better!

We definitely had enough space to store luggage… but a small dresser with drawers would have been helpful!

Easy pick, stay here!

Stayed here on a stop over and loved everything about the place, especially the warm welcome from the owner who even gave us a free upgrade! The room is very spacious and everything was freshly cleaned and spotless. My only disappointment is that I didn't stay longer.

Amazing Stay

We loved the hot tub after hiking around! Shame the weather was not the best, on a plus note we visited in June so we had a chance to see baby pony and sheeps. The hosts are super helpful and friendly. The location is superb with lots of Tors nearby to visit in a decent walking distance and a spectacular quarry. The property has a shared kitchen fully equipped that we did not use on this occasion. The Fox Tor caffe' and the price of wales pubs serving amazing food and drinks in a 2 mins walking distance

Great for a couple of nights stay in Dartmoor. Very comfy bed. Good water pressure in shower. Fantastic spa area

It’s a little bit tired and dated and room was a bit small but it is really great value for money. The spa lifts the stay at the property to next level. I would stay again

Perfect for hikers

Great location for what we wanted. This place is intended for hikers and it certainly accommodates. Can walk straight out onto a Tor or cycle out into the moor. Hosts were excellent and friendly. We enjoyed the hot tub and the coffee machine was also an excellent feature for the room (though I had to Google instructions as it was flashing because the pod tray was full).

Would have liked a tea towel in the room to dry off our dishes as we couldn’t find any in the room. But I respect also that if we had asked this probably would have been given as nothing was too much trouble for the hosts

Really lovely stay, great room and location and wonderful hosts.

Great location, lovely hosts, room was huge and well equipped and really appreciated the little touches like the availability of chargers etc. The hot tub was fab too, thank you.

An actual kettle would have been beneficial, whilst I appreciate not wasting electricity it was a bit of a faff using the one cup one and resulted in a smaller cup of coffee and couldn’t easily fill a thermos. That said I’m sure if I’d have asked they would have helped but we were setting off early.

Lovely large and modern studio style room equipped with everything we needed including sofa, dining table and tv. Clean kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and kettle. Shower was lovely and powerful and hot. Warm, comfortable and dog friendly room. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and always around to chat to. They even delivered a new year breakfast pack of crumpets and jams incase we didn’t have anything and the cafe was closed New Year’s Day. The location is excellent next door to our favourite pub and cafe and lovely walks across the moors right from the door. Village shop for emergencies. Can walk straight to Nuns cross from there which is a lovely walk with amazing scenery.

Bed matress was a bit too soft for my bad back, sank right into it but would be great if you like a soft memory foam matress. Radiators on timer could do with coming on earlier so it’s warm when you get back from cold walks about 3-4pm. These were just minor things, overall we were very impressed and happy with our stay.

Location is perfect for spending time on Dartmoor. Free parking. Our room was perfect. Everything we needed for a break away. Bed was really comfy & all was clean & good quality. The jacuzzi was a fabulous addition to what was already a gem of a place to stay. Nikki & Terry were so welcoming, kind & thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble. Big thanks & we’ll be back & telling friends about you :D

Perfect hikers retreat

The host Nikki was so warm and welcoming, checked us in early. So good with my son. Beautiful and large comfy rooms. Love the honesty box brekky. Advised us on local events and eateries. Highly reccomend as a base for rambling on dartmoor.

Ammazing!!! We are definitely coming back!!

Super, amazing place for a weekend break or a holiday. The room above expectation, very nice and clean. Nikki and Terry are very friendly, open and helpful. We really felt welcomed. Outdoor facilities amazing (obviously the hot tub) also covered place (if the weather is not great) with tables and a fire (log burner) with an oven on top of it (to bake pizza etc). WiFi fast with no problems. We truly recommend this place!!! Nikki and Terry see you soon!! 😊

Well equipped apartment in a central.Dartmoor location. Located on the high street with great cafes and pubs nearby. The Drying Room was really great for drying our clothes. Owners were friendly and really helpful. Free Parking and free coffee. Additional food items could be purchased eg breakfast.
