After having been to Tavistock nearly every other year for the last 74 years, 54 with my wife, we always wanted to stay in the Bedford.
I booked the Bedford this year and I was not disappointed. It was clean with the rooms done everyday, the meal selection throughout the day was excellent and the staff very helpful. It is also pet friendly.
There is an outside garden with which to sit with a drink and relax.
The parking is ample but has a cost of £8.00 per day if you do not book your stay direct with the hotel.
It will definitely be used again on my next visit

This hotel is full of character, but the fittings, bathroom, bed are all thoroughly modern, crisp and clean. Breakfast was great, the staff weekday and weekend were very helpful. Dinner was good - the menu extensive enough to provide options for each evening they were there. Ability to park safely onsite is always welcome. The locatio is superb. I'd say top of the grade for a 3-star property.

This is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel in beautiful setting. It is very well appointed. The staff are professional, friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. There is ample parking available. The choice of breakfasts is excellent. The evening meals are also of an excellent standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
