Compact & bijou 2 night stay.

We liked everything about this en-suite bedroom 😍 so very quiet 🤫 and comfortable. Found places to eat nearby.

There's not much we didn't like. Very small issue of no wardrobe/hanging space. But we hung clothes on the back of the doors and managed. We got what we expected at an affordable price, in a very convenient place.

A clean, comfortable stay in quiet location

The double ensuite room was in a very quiet location, clean and comfortable for my one night stay.

The pillow was very flat and too shallow for me so I had to roll my towel under it to boost the pillow to a suitable height for my neck.

A good base to explore the local area as location is great but nothing more than a place to rest your head

Good location. Walkable to the town and harbour. Short drive to other local areas. Smart TV in room for when we wanted to chill.

Felt the sink was too small for a bathroom and there were no products such as soap or shower gel that you'd normally expect to find. We also weren't provided with hand towels until the second day. Only one pillow each on the bed which had teddy bear style bedding which we felt was not quite suitable for a stay in August. Host wasn't aware of how long we were staying for as she didn't handle the bookings directly herself which led to a little awkwardness when we were asked to checkout after 1 of our 2 nights stay.

Quiet and clean, ideal for a short stay away as a base for visiting the lovely area around. Reasonably priced

The bathroom sink is a little small and the taps fill up most of space so not easy to wash face or shave with, but overall was nice to just get there after tiring day and enjoy clean comfortable place to rest a head

Basic and clean.

The location was well away from the town centre ( approx 1 km) but conveniently, only 10 minutes walk to the railway station which was the reason we chose this accommodation. Breakfast was not offered but basic tea/instant coffee facilities were available.

More comfortable bed linen ( cotton please!) and a better sized handbasin in the en-suite would have been more appropriate.

Lovely stay in a quiet bungalow

It was a lovely short stay at the BnB style accommodation, the lady received us was nice and friendly, brief introduction and then left us with peace and quietness. Location of the house is slightly away from the town centre, about 20min walking roughly, but there's a big Tesco just by the corner which makes it very easy to resupply for the trip. The room was exceptionally clean and quiet as it's at the corner of a neighbourhood, and since it's a bungalow attached to the house the setting is very homestyle and comfortable. On top of everything the fluffy bedsheet and blanket were definitely a huge bonus as they were just so cosy to sleep with.

For people that are more used to hotel rooms, it might feel a little weird or even awkward staying at someone's spare room literally right next door. The voice of the host's family talking can come through the wall along with occasional sound of snoring and baby crying in the morning. But for those with a budget or used to such sounds or have a great sleep quality, the place offers a decent value for money.

Odd but pleasant stay

This was an odd but pleasant stay. Odd in the fact that when we arrived, we were met by a neighbour who informed us that the host had gone away for a few days. The neighbour informed us that she had been asked by the owner to let us in. I had not received any messages from the host, informing me of this and was a little concerned of being in a property where the owner was not present. However it worked out okay and allowed my husband and I to enjoy our stay in a very quiet place.

As stated I had not received any information from the host about the changes in arrangements. However I did hear from her a couple of hours after we arrived to see when we would be checking in , but again no explanation or apology was given. As stated by other reviewers, the room lacks hanging space and the sink in bathroom was very small, but we managed. Okay for one or two nights, but not much more.

A nightmare and will never book a room on booking.com anymore.

The bed

We got to the property for check-in but there was no one to answer. I called their phone number many times and I was about to leave that I received a call from a different number and asked me to wait half an hour. When they arrived the room was not ready and asked us to wait for another hour till the room is ready. We drove back to the town and came back later. We were really tired and went to bed and it was around 10:10 pm that the room next to us started to loud talks and woke us up. Their loud talks continued for hours and we couldn’t sleep till 1pm and and after their talks were over we wanted to go back to bed that their snoring started. Just like a diesel generator didn’t let us sleep all nights. I turned on the TV to get busy, but the TV was not connected to any Chanel or Netflix. Slept for a couple of hours in the morning and woke up to take a shower, but the shower didn’t work.

Alright for summer but NOT winter 🥶!!

Location! Set in a quiet residential area

The room was nothing short of an ICEBOX!!! The room was not heated, or pre warmed before we arrived at 3pm. No hairdryer, and the mirror in bedroom was thick with dust. As to the bathroom, that was even more colder than the bedroom!! The sink is way too small and taps too big, so my husband could not even have a shave! I had a job just cleaning my teeth! and to fill the kettle we had to use a glass tumbler, as the kettle won’t fit in the sink! As an elderly retired couple of 68 years, we were not expecting the RITZ, but the basics should have been provided. The heating was put on about an hour after we arrived, but never felt the benefit as we were asleep! After travelling all night on winding roads and lashing rain, we were naturally exhausted, so went to bed half hour later. Got up at 10pm to a freezing room, and that did it for us, we didn’t stay for the whole night and decided to head back home! 😠🥶

Close too the area we wanted to explore , the host was there to greet us , she said if we needed anything to just ask , but we never saw her again, suppose we could of knocked on the door but we wouldn't of wanted to disturb her or the dogs , good job we were self sufficient .

Bed was very hard but the pillows ? ....need at least two each! as there is no where to sit but on the bed , and the pillows dont have any support to make it comfortable . Lots of drawer space but I think 6 sets is too much , get rid of a couple and put two chairs in .

The room has great internet, a hot shower, and was close to the city center. The hot water kettle and coffee/tea tray was much appreciated.

The bathroom was missing any shower gels/soap/shampoo. The walls are quite thin and you can hear through the walls. The bed was quite uncomfortable.

Very good

The room was comfortable and very clean, the furniture looked rather new. Lots of instant coffee, sugar and tea was provided. It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. To the town center it's about 10 min on foot.

As the rented room is part of a regular household the owner had to switch on central heating. So we had to contact them if the room was too cold. Not a big deal, but I would have preferred it if we could regulate the temperature ourselves.
