It’s a traditional Japanese house, which is very nice and nostalgic. I love how they decorate the house with cute Totoro’s figures in cute little spots. Our room has a garden view that is so serene, you can listen to sounds of nature, all making you feel calm and peaceful. The outdoor onsen is nice too. And the food is exceptional! We enjoyed every meals. And last but not least, the surrounding is so nice, you can have stroll in the village, quiet and peaceful. Our stay was a total pleasant. If you don’t mind do-it-yourself service, I think this is the best place!
Can’t think of any. Maybe I wish they had a steamer or iron in the room?

Location in the forested area is beautiful. The outdoor rotemburos for two, even if small, are very nice. Dinner hot pot was okay, held in a nice common traditional room with garden views.
We were given two rooms, one good and one bad, much smaller, with just a small window to a wall and Aircon machine , having paid the same. It was extremely humid ( regardless of dehumidifier) and the mould smell was quite unbearable in the room. We've been 3 weeks in Japan and have slept in many traditional and tatami mats lodgings like other minshukus that were just great and no smelly, for half the price. The check in was flexible but the guy was a bit out of the usual and respectful Japanese manners that we do fondly appreciate and have been able to receive in other places.
