Yumoto Onsen OharaSansou

I had a wonderful stay here, and it's the kind of place that makes a trip to Japan truly memorable. The onsen was a highlight of my visit. Being able to relax in the hot water after a day of exploring the area was exactly what I needed. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings made it even better. I especially want to express my appreciation for the staff. You can really see the care and hard work that go into making guests feel welcome, and I have enormous respect for everyone who contributes to that experience. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The presentation, attention to detail, and care put into each meal made dining here a memorable part of the stay, rather than just something included with the room. The location is another reason I loved this place. Being so close to important temples and spiritual sites gives the whole area a special atmosphere. It's a wonderful setting for anyone looking to experience a quieter, more contemplative side of Kyoto. Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, a relaxing onsen, and people who clearly take pride in their work. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone who made my stay so special. Highly recommended! 💯

The only minor issue was the lighting at night. A little light came through under the door, and some small electronic devices in the room also emitted light, making it slightly difficult to sleep in complete darkness. Just a small detail that could be improved. Everything else was absolutely wonderful — a 10/10 experience!

- includes dinner and breakfast - onsen onsite

- there were a few spiders on the way to onsen - had to make our own futon (though there was a briefing how to make it when we check-in so that’s good)

The pristine cleanness, amazing staff, comfortable cloths provided. Amazing coffee!!

Onsen was nice but a little tired. Evening meal was good. Location was peaceful and quiet.

No drinking water in the rooms and a little overpriced. Very basic.
