Perfect
Location perfect, Castle perfect, breakfast perfect
The very very small room we had. I should have seen it while booking but I thought we had a normal room. (it was a duplex room with a very very small stair to the bedroom.

Nice
It was beautiful, very clean, nice room, nice breakfast, friendly personnel
Bar only open until 11:30h and when you order a drink, no nuts, chips, olives…door handle broken, a lot of stairs, no elevator

Fabulous building in great location, but didn't meet our (high) expectations.
Beautiful chateau in a nice location. The building looks very impressive from outside and much of the inside is very nicely finished. Breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine was very good. The restaurant is Fabulous! Johnny Boniface is a fantastic chef who makes some wonderful dishes all presented and served beautifully - perfection on a plate.
For a luxury hotel there were a number of missing features. We booked the Deluxe Junior Suite, and were unpleasantly surprised that there was no shower in the suite. There was a shower-head attached to the bath which could be used, but no shower unit. We had to carry our luggage quite a distance up many steps from the carpark to the hotel, and then up 2 flights of stairs to our room. At breakfast the buffet was good, but the only coffee available was black coffee with cold milk. A cappuccino wasn't possible. OK for many, but at a luxury hotel we expected more. There was quite some evidence of work-in-progress at the site e.g. wires coming out of steps (possibly for lights in the future), so we hope the hotel will soon be finished, and the finishing touches can be finished! Not many (any) facilities beyond an empty bar with no staff evident, and an empty room where you could sit. In summary, not what we expected for the price of a luxury hotel. It looks luxury from outside, but once you enter, it doesn't meet expectations (except for the restaurant and chef which are truly 5 star excellence)

Great get away - make sure you have reservations and order breakfast in room
Amazing grounds, amazing decoration,
Horrifying service at breakfast - could be so much better managed with so little details; even the staff were complaining

The hotel cancelled my stay when we arrived at the property with 2 hungry and tired kids at 6pm
The hotel cancelled my stay while at the property with 2 hungry and tired kids at 6pm after a long trip. "ops sorry, your room is not available anymore, there was an error between booking.com and us, sorry, good luck" No hotels no rooms at all avaiable in the area, fully booked every where because of the public holiday weekend. Orrible experience.

Beautiful hotel with excellent restaurant.
Beautiful well renovated castle. Very nice staff. And a very, very good restaurant for lunch and diner with excellent food en wines. Room was clean. Oppurtunity for a nice walk in nature around the hotel (forest with river). Free charching for car.
We had a duplex room with a classic style spiral staircase to the bed area which was a challenge. (Only suitable for small and flexible people.) Bathroom was very small and shower had a showercurtain that was a dissapointment.
