Domaine de Ronchinne

The chateau was beautifully situated looking out over a valley and a small lake. The room was interesting in an old clock house. The breakfast room has a lovely view. The airco in my room worked well on an extremely hot day.

The check in time was very late 16:00. The staff were very unfriendly when it came to arriving a little earlier, just a flat out refusal and then when I asked if my son could use the pool they offered us the usage of it for 35 euros per person. The buffet in the evening was very overpriced (€40 per person) for very basic looking Italian. They seem to make use of the fact that you are a bit of a captive audience with the nearest restaurants being about 15 to 20 minutes drive away.

Rooms were beautifully decorated. Staff in the bar were very friendly. Loved the pool and steam room.

Lady on reception was unhelpful and unfriendly. Room didn’t have a plug near the kettle. No milk for tea. No coffee in room. The second pool and hot tub were both broken. One plug in our room was falling out of the wall. The bleach in the pool water splashed on my clothes and ruined them. Big bleached blobs. The jumpsuit cost £200 so I was devastated.

Beautiful location with a lot of nature, a nice and relaxed atmosphere

Spa was small and not having enough facilities for a lot of visitors, seems old not maintained well

Wellness is very weak and not enough for all host. If you’ll go for wellness it will not be a good choice.
