Super setting and location - worth while!

The settling was excellent - beautiful location and facilities! Look forward to returning!

The soundproofing of the rooms / doors wasn't amazing so you could easily hear people in the corridor etc.

The place to be when you want to spend a weekend in south Limburg /Maastrcith

A beautiful renovated old land house. Renovated with style and in a for us well know area. I am very happy that this kind of properties are well managed and maintained. The dinner and breakfast were expensive but very very nice

Good value for money on a beautiful estate

Beautiful property and good value for money. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated, everything is clean and well kept. Staff is helpful. Breakfast was nice.

The window in my room didn't close fully, making the noise from outside still loud. Also, there was quite a bad sewage smell coming from the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was quite low.

Lovely stay just missed sometimes the details

The area where the Landgoed Altenbroek is located is really lovely - green, hilly, a small lake, all well maintained. We stayed in the small house that sleeps 6, this was also great for our large family. It was a roomy house with good beds and a comfortable sofa. We walked over for breakfast in the dining room and this was also a lovely space, as was the courtyard and bar.

A good dusting of the house to rid of all the cobwebs would be nice, it could easily look so much better with just cleaning up all the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in various places. Also a dish cloth and dish towel for in the kitchen was really needed. You could wash dishes but there was nothing to dry anything with except your bath towel. In the wc on the ground floor there is no place to hang a small hand towel so you wash your hands and then wipe them on your pants? With just those small improvements the house could be perfect. The breakfast room on two of the days was chaos, the seating area. There was one man who seemed to be the manager but he was quite chaotic and huffing and puffing as he was helping people, like it was such a trouble that we were there. Perhaps he needs a different job. The day he wasn't there, it was so much nicer and the breakfast room ran so much better.

A place to come to rest

Beautiful surroundings with hiking trails. Our room was absolutely stunning and spacious. Loved the bathroom. We had a delicious breakfast with more than enough to eat.

All in all a very nice place and we would stay there again.

Breakfast is excellent as is the restaurant. Lovely garden and surrounding. Very friendly staff. A bit off the beaten track but very good for bicycles tours.

The standard room is rather small even though all facilities are in the room. Would go for a bigger room next time. No lift, therefore difficult for disabled people.

There was some kind of party (I guess) the night that I spent there. The music went on until quite late, which was a bit annoying, but nothing compared how loud and disrespectful some guests were. I guess the age of the hotel didn't help... The noise insulation was really not the best. Maybe some carpets/rugs would help. You can easily follow anyone steps just by eating them walking arou d

A dreamy estate in a quiet and beautiful valley

Landgoed Altenbroek is beautifully situated in a valley with lush, green hills and deciduous forests. It is a place of peace and quiet and a perfect base to explore the region from. Recommended to anyone looking for a little nature and rest.

Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of maintenance going on. This made the otherwise perfect location a little less ideal, but it was fantastic all the same. I was told this is a rare occasion as it takes place once every 50 years. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming, especially considering the price.

The location, friendly personnel, the building itself and the grounds, the surroundings. I would recommend this location to friends who love walking and cycling.

The room was lacking basic things such as hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towel on. The sound acoustics in the hallway is bad due to lack of sound damping, this worked on.

Nicely renovated country farm estate, comfortable room.

Whoever renovated the hotel didn't consider using any sound-proofing. My room was overlooking the courtyard and above the bar. Whenever someone walked by it sounded like they were in my room. Also, there was a party in the bar which was VERY loud, and when I finally called the front desk around 11:00 to complain, they said "oh, the bar will close at midnight." Nothing happened and the party and noise continued until around 12:30. The next morning when I checked out and once again mentioned the party and loud noise, the receptionist just said "oh, too bad." (I had jet-lag and was very happy that I was able to go to sleep around 10:00 pm, so waking up a little bit later to the noise from the bar did not make my stay very pleasant.)
