Good value for money

Great location for the bath, 5 min from a public paid car park; clean, warm, comfortable.

The room was on the small side, but still comfortable. Self check in could be a bit tricky despite clear description sent via WhatsApp and booking app. Only German TV. Breakfast is basic.

No reception, it's like Airbnb. You take your key from a locked box. The only available reception us at check-out: they're happy to be there to see you leave but not to welcome you to the hotel... No possibility to leave your luggage there either.

Mixed feelings

The room was clean. Tea, coffee, and an electric kettle were provided. The location, while a bit noisy, was still convenient and manageable. On the bright side, breakfast was excellent — definitely the best part of the stay.

I found two stains on the linen and reported it via WhatsApp, but only received a reply the next morning. I didn’t feel comfortable using the blanket and avoided it (luckily it was warm during the night). The fridge wasn’t working — when I opened it, there was no electricity inside. At the back of the fridge, I found three exposed wires instead of a proper plug. It looked unsafe, and I couldn’t understand how they clean it in that condition.

Good price. Excellent location for Carolus Thermen

It was easy to get in. The instructions given were clear, although you have to use WhatsApp to get the code for your key card in the morning before 10am (their time), which not everyone may have, and also, take note if you have a time zone difference. I don't know what happens if you don't WhatsApp them on time! Staff were welcoming and helpful. They are not on the premises from around 11am. Even though it wasn't a huge establishment, there was a lift, which was handy for heavy luggage. Plenty of tea and coffee, creamer, a kettle. A fridge was an added bonus, so we could store our fresh food for the next day. Bed and pillows super comfy. The double glazing kept out the noise of the road when the window was shut. It was also a perfect temperature for May. No need for heating or aircon, and so I don't think we checked either. Nice big towels. Basic toiletries. Just a squeezy shampoo and a bodywash, so take your conditioner and moisturiser, if you need it. Location near Carolus Thermen was fantastic. Breakfast was ok. Very simple. A fair combination of things, such as cheese, eggs, tomatoes, bread and jam, cereals etc. Not very exciting or extensive, but enough to fill you up. Small, quiet dining area.

So much cheese for breakfast! A bit noisy outside on the main road but it did quieten down at bed time. No decaffeinated coffee (they seemed to not even have heard of it!) or decaf ordinary tea, althought there were herbal teas. No milk, only creamer, so not great in tea. It was a bit far walking from the station with our large suitcase. Should've got a cab or bus!

Beautiful, cosy and chic boutique hotel, lovely and friendly staff , great breakfast options and perfect location. This is is our second stay and we were not disappointed at all.

Comfortable and clean room at the Granus Hotel in a good location if you are happy to walk.

The breakfast had lots of options for different tastes. The hotel was in a great location for us with easy walking distance to the old town.

It would be good if the reception offered two cards at check-in if one party wants to do something different especially as reception is not manned during office hours. The packaging for condiments could be reduced to minimise plastic waste.

Clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast, not very far from the Dom...

The missing of AC. It was very hot even in the room was a fan. The parking is quite expensive (15 euro) and nobody told us that we need a green pass for the car in Aachen.

Convenient location close to the thermen and the city center. Staff is friendly, late check-in is convenient. The breakfast is complete and we were able to leave our bags at the reception so we could enjoy the city the last day without dragging our bags everywhere.

Excellent location (15 mins from Downtown, 5 mins from Carolus Thermen), clean room, ability to park your car and nice breakfast made our stay very comfortable! Special thanks to the hotel staff! All questions resolved fast and flexibly. We will definitely be promoting this hotel to our friends!

Good Granus!

Quite a nice place really...breakfast suits those with a continental inclination but, as usual, falls a bit short if you are into cereals. Nice staff and good communications via WhatsApp for late arrivals. Do tell them in good time that you are going to be late...reception may be shut bur rhey have very good workarounds. Very easy to get to as well.

The only thing I could moan about was shower water temperature stability...as usual...not that good...keeps you on your toes.
