Awful

The only things I liked were the free transfer service from the port and the warm temperature of the pool water.

We booked a room for 4 people, but the extra bed provided was extremely uncomfortable and too small. The room itself was cramped and poorly maintained. The actual distance to the beach is around 1 km — definitely not the 500 meters advertised — and the walk is along a busy main road with constant traffic and buses. All the furniture is old. We booked this place thinking it had a fully equipped kitchen, but it was far from that. The bathroom and room feel more like a guesthouse than a 4-star hotel. The shower, toilet, and sink are squeezed into a tiny 1 m² space, and the water temperature constantly fluctuates between scalding hot and freezing cold. Without a car, it’s very difficult to get anywhere. Shops, restaurants, and the beach are all far, and the property is located in the middle of a village. The pool is small despite the warm water. I genuinely don’t understand how this property is rated as 4 stars — this was a very disappointing experience and our holiday was ruined.

Wonderful 8 day stay.

Very relaxed environment, nothing was a problem for the owners, they were willing to assist with any requests. We rented a car through them and it was hassle free. Pool area was lovely and clean. Views from our balcony were beautiful and lovely to watch the sunset every evening.

Good value quiet location, ideal for group of friends and family together on holiday.

Sea view, very nice pool, good bathroom, very clean, good value car hire available, helpful owners, good sized fridge in room, private balcony, quiet location not too far from the beach and shops.

Hard beds, air con too noisy to sleep with, beds in 3 person room were small (except the double).

Good value hotel in quiet spot

Good apartments in a quiet spot and it's good value for money. Nice quiet pool and the rooms are very clean and have good facilities. Transfers from the port or airport are available and the owners are friendly people.

Be aware that checkout time is actually 11:00 rather than the 12:00 advertised on booking.com

Wonderful place!!!!

Our stay was great!!! Both Ioanna and her brother Nikos were fabulous host. They went the extra mile to make our stay even wonderful! They facilitate your pick up at the port, laundry, car rental, cleaning…. The rooms are very clean and the entire stay was a 10! They are always available and make your vacation unforgetable. We hope to go back next year. Thanks so much Ioanna and Nikos!

We absolutely loved our time at Orama! The location couldn’t be better—tucked right in the heart of Fira, it made exploring shops, restaurants, and the local bus station effortless. Many guests echo this sentiment, rating the location superbly high and noting how close everything is—sometimes just a few minutes on foot The hosts were another highlight—incredibly friendly, warm, and always eager to help. We felt genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. Other travelers frequently praise the exceptional service and helpful staff at this hotel The swimming pool was stunning—bright, well-maintained, and beautifully inviting. It wasn’t just the ambiance; reviewers consistently highlight the immaculate upkeep and lovely setting of the pool area I'd highly recommend Orama for anyone visiting Fira

if you enjoy self-catering or prefer taking meals in, it’s helpful to know that ovens or microwaves aren’t provided in the rooms—only a refrigerator and kettle are available. After a few days of takeaways, we found ourselves wishing for something to reheat food more easily. Overall, our stay was memorable and comfortable. I’d highly recommend Orama to anyone visiting Fira—just keep in mind that if you’d like to cook or reheat meals, you may need to plan accordingly

Very friendly and had everything we needed.

About 5-10 minute walk into Agia Anna which had everything you needed for a day or night out. Good location to explore the rest of the island. They had cars that could be hired out for a reasonable price. Very welcoming hosts. Pool was lovely to cool off in after exploring the island.

The kitchenware was complete. It was worth the value of money. The hosts were also very helpful. The transport from the port to the hotel was cheap as well, it was only €5.

There was a chihuahua who got easily triggered but it was actually quiet.

Staff and location.

We had 3 people staying in the room and only cutlery, cups, plates, dishes and glasses for 2. Also only 2 towels. Frustrating when staff know you've booked for 3 and even make up the 3rd bed. The room was a little small for 3 people. Pool is very much smaller than the photos lead you to believe, though lovely for a dip.

The room, the pool, the location. .This accomodation was an easy walk into town and it was fantastic to have a pool to cool off before changing and going back into town for dinner.The owners were nice too.

Lovely pool and views

Great location, the pick up was really nice. It's clean but quite outdated.

Simple things like mismatched towels, made it feel a lot more outdated than it perhaps was. The owners have a dog who is often tied up and yelps, it's a little unsettling.

I loved the bed 🤣 it was so comfy and spacious, there was a pool right outside our door. For the price that we payed I felt very rich staying in this apartment. the centre of the city was a bit of walking but no problem, in 10 min you were there. everything was very good 😁.

nice affordable apartment relatively clean the staff were all lovely and helpful. the pool is really nice and was is a nice quiet stay

the wifi in our room didn’t work at all neither did our data so if we wanted wifi we would have to leave our room and sit on the pool area. The air conditioning in the room also didn’t work we did mention this to one of the owners however nothing was done to resolve it. the property is on an ok location there is shops about a 10/15 minute walk away however this is along quite a busy road so just something to consider when choosing to stay.

Great place for a vacation

The room had a great balcony, with a sunbed and a table, with view on the sea. Amazing! The room and especially the toilet are new and pleasant. The place has a nice pool where you can relax. The location is close to the beach (15 min walk) and supermarkets, bars, etc.

The room was a bit small. But not a problem at all! Everything else was great!!

Overall positive.

The hotel owners are very polite. When I had an issue with my WIFI --which was really important-- they offered me to change me to another room. That room was great and I had a great stay.

The first room I was into was an older room. Not so good and need some renovation. This was not a dealbreaker for me but the low WIFI signal was. The hotel owner moved me to a better room and that fixed my problem. in the end.

Wonderful location, nice pool, lovely staff and nice large rooms. Ioanna is such a sweet host and they are very welcoming. They help with transportation from the port to the apartment, which is very nice.

A great option if you are not travelling with an infant

The studio was very nice, with a great sea view. Spacious enough to have a baby cot and not feel crammed at all. The kitchenette was small, but we had everything we needed for quick meals which we prepared for the baby. The room was cleaned daily and the towels and sheets were changed regularly enough. The pool was really nice and we used it quite a lot in the evenings, even though we thought we wouldn't. The lovely Agia Anna beach is about a 7-minutes walk away (timed), but there is no sidewalk. We had no issue with this, however it may be uncomfortable for some. We also walked to Agios Prokopios beach and it took us about 20 minutes to get there. You can also rent a car from this property at a very good price. Ask here first before looking for other companies.

We received a baby cot for our 1 year old, however it was extremely dirty. Also we rented a car from the property for a few days and, while the car was cleaned, the baby car seat was very dirty. It is a pity that such important things are neglected, even though they are very quick fixes. Also, the wi-fi was really bad.
