Sun Spalato Villa Paradise

We made the booking for 8 pax for Villa Sun Spalato Paradise Split for our family celebration for nearly 5,500€ . The accommodation was and is a huge disappointment from the start. We asked to get the luggage in for safe keeping due to a very hars thunderstorm and were told it can not be arranged as the apartment is getting cleaned for us. The given check in time was 16 hrs. When we arrived to the apartment we noticed it wasn’t cleaned and if it was, it was very poorly done. There were old used towels, dirt and filth everywhere etc. The huge sofa is lined with sheets, tabletops are peeling apart, floors and all furinture are filthy. There are cigarette studs and beer bottle caps everywhere on outside areas, Even inside pool tables pockets. Toilets were covered with black filth etc. Coffee machines are not working (there is a sign asking machine to be cleaned) etc. The shared toilet two apartments does not work/flush properly. Patio door does not lock, showers not been cleaned, bedroom doors do not close etc. We made a complaint to the owner directly, and sent approx 30 pictures and were told to wait till following day, so manager could meet us. On a following day the manager/owner arrived to meet us with 2 cleaning ladies. We were basicly told by the manager that previous occupants have made a mess and we are supposed to accept it. The two cleaning ladies said to us that this apartment has not been cleaned and should not have been let out. We stayed and waited to owner to go through the inspection and ladies started to clean the house. This took more than half of the day, which also means we have now lost nearly 2 of our seven days just to get the apartment to be livable. Even though we showed the manager the issues we’re not happy about, they have not been fixed. Manager has now come back to us declining our complaint. This accommodation is not worth of the money nor the four star it is advertised with. We didn’t receive any compensation.

the house was a block away from the beach and in a great location next to bars and restaurants. A 20 minute walk or short taxi ride to the old town. the house and four floors, five if you include the hidden room on the bottom floor. :). the top floor was the master. big walk in closet, great bathroom with both shower and tub and balcony with views of the ocean. three smaller bedrooms on third floor with two bathrooms and a final very small bedroom on ground floor. the house had great decor and nice amenities. pool, hot tub and pool table were great additions. kitchen was very functional with everything you could want. we would definitely stay here again.

Hot tub could be set a few degrees warmer. would be nice to have some type of Sonos or other system to get music played from your own device. house has a reputation in neighborhood as a party house so be warned that you may be blamed for other noisy neighbors.
