This is a gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

We loved the garden & that the unit had some privacy from most of the other units with large windows looking out into the garden.
The rooms were very small & the couch is in need of an upgrade as it wasn’t very comfortable.

Very homely and comfortable. Plenty of crockery and wine glasses. Very tasteful decoration and pictures. Comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets. A problem with the TV was sorted very quickly and it was easy to contact our host.
Some of the areas of cleaning were a bit disappointing.

Cozy little place, warm and clean.
Providing tea and coffee would have been a nice addition

Nothing really!
The chalet was very damp and smelt very musty and mouldy, so much so we felt out health was at risk so we checked into a hotel for the last 2 nights of our 4 night stay.
There was also absolutely no internet within or anywhere near the chalet.
The beds were very uncomfortable and felt damp.

We actually got a little cabin, well furnished, in a "holiday village" of about 250 cabins. The village is more or less self-contained, with nightly bingo, a restaurant, a bar, games, a small store, etc., and I think most people don't even go to the beach, which is miles off with limited parking. I would recommend the place to those who want to spend a week in what amounts to a super-summer-camp, make friends, bring the family, and don't have a great desire to spend time in St. Ives or in the ocean. We only spent 3 nights and that is too short. It is really a family place with adult activities like karaoke and bingo.
First, we thought from the name that this place was near St. Ives. It is not. It is several miles away--not even close to walking distance. And driving into St. Ives was a pain--you have to park in a lot above the town, then take a bus in, and they charge for both the parking and the bus. And woe to you if you drive into St. Ives--the streets are so narrow and jammed that it is incredible they have not closed the streets to all but pedestrian traffic. Second, we had a horrible time finding this place. We entered the address provided by booking.com into the car GPS, but that only got us (we found out later) within a mile or so and the area is a maze of roundabouts. We had to stop at several places, and even ask a bus driver, to finally find the place. We kept going around roundabouts over and over, looking for the little sign to "St Ives Holiday Villlage", and even when we found it, finally, the sign out front didn't say that. Later, we learned that if we entered the postcode not the address into our GPS, we could have gotten there fine, but the owner (nor booking.com) never mentioned this.

Location fabulous and accommodation SPOTLESS - little touches of milk in fridge and flowers were lovely. Messages through the app were really quick. Beds very comfy and we all slept really well.
As others mentioned, the damp, old people smell isn't nice on arrival or when you had been out for the day, but once inside, you stopped noticing it. The whole place was absolutely spotless though, so cleanliness wasn't an issue - just might be age of the property?

The property had everything you need in a rather compact space. The surroundings were very nice with good privacy considering how many other properties were nearby. The Laundry was a little way away.
The absence of WiFi is an issue given how often travellers need to access the Internet for local information such as museum opening hours, local restaurants and so on. If you are a visitor to England you may not have a local SIM card so you rely on WiFi.

We loved the area, it felt very close to nature. The milk in the fridge was a nice touch, the board games, playing cards, DVD's and books were much appreciated.
Just the smell of mold upon entering the property, but we managed to get rid of it after a few moments.

Beautiful little chalet/cottage on the edge of the woods. Arrived at the holiday park and drove down to the end as instructed by host. Parked easily. And there was the chalet which looked like the the prettiest, most loved on the whole site. Nice garden, plants, flowers and picnic table to the front. The chalet was decorated well and had a light bright feel. On the table were fresh flowers and complimentary biscuits which was very welcoming.
Kitchen area had EVERYTHING!
Living area was cosy and had a basket of games, a television/dvd player and DVDs and books on a shelf unit beneath.
We all slept well, beds were comfy, rooms were warm, site/position of chalet was quiet, woke up to birdsong.
Facilities on the site itself, woodland setting, great for walks, kids playground in the woods, a stream, all gorgeous. At the reception area there was a small shop, swimming pool, bar/bar food/entertainment, arcade etc (swimming etc you would pre book and pay for at reception).
Bus stop on site connecting you to surrounding areas and beyond.
Would recommend, would love to stay again.

Everything you need for self catering was available and in good repair.
Over dose of artificial air perfumes.

The property was spotless.
Beds and bedding were clean and good quality.
Kitchen equipment all in good condition and really clean.
Towels provided were nice quality, I imagine fairly new.
Overwhelming stench of damp within the property! Had to use heaters constantly as it felt cold and damp even though temperature outside was mid 20's. Couldn't have stood it any longer than 4 nights!!! No storage in 2nd bedroom and furniture in main bedroom was bulky, couldn't open wardrobe doors without moving the bed. No room to walk around the bed.
Untidy and very overgrown patio area which was covered in last years fallen leaves. No sun on patio due to dense, overgrown trees, which made outside space feel cold even on the hottest days!Hardly any pathway lights working so pitch black and a tripping hazard in the evening.

Did not have breakfast at this property, self catering
We used the John Fowler Take Away one evening and the wait for food was supposed to be 45 minutes but was over 2 hours. Lots of people complaint and children hungry. It was really poor.

Good location just outside st ives. Lovely clean accommodation. Good self catering kitchen facilities. Ideal layout for a family with two children
The sound quality on the TV was really poor. The shower tray drained really slowly and the double bed mattress was quite uncomfortable

The property is very pretty and decorated well.
The kitchen is well Equipped for self catering.
The table is a good size and is nice to sit around to eat and talk, and play games.
The property is in a good location with lots of trees and plants which not only looked lovely but was also a refreshing shade in the very hot weather.
lovely picnic bench outside to enjoy a coffee in the morning!
very quiet location, very peaceful.
My only complaints is that the double bed is really uncomfortable so unfortunately I didn’t sleep well.
Also the tv has a problem with the speakers the sound is awful so the tv is unusable.
Bit of a musty smell but I guess it’s what you may expect in this kind of property.
The shower had a mind of its own! hot then cold! no consistent temperature.

A bit musty with the smell in the place but a few days with the heating on sorted that out.

It met, and exceeded, all our expectations.

Lovely to have flowers in a vase on arrival, along with box of biscuits and milk in the fridge (a fantastic touch).
The duvets strangely seemed too small for the beds (not sure how) but it wasn't a major issue as we were tired to slept anyway
