Clean. Warm.
Beds were terrible - sunken mattresses that need replaced. You need to tell people BEFORE booking that the pool is out of action and that you have to drive 10 minutes to another site to use a pool that can be booked for an hour only the day before.

There is so many different destination if you drive as the bus stop is out of service but there is no taxi's, they are very beautiful especially carbis bay, parking is not far from chalet, there is entertainment for younger children age 10 or under, there is also access to the swimming pool which is free!
The in the chalet there are 2 single beds in each and both of the single beds in one chalet are very wobbly, in the other one of them is very wobbly, as soon as you walk in you can smell the damp and there is mold all in the corner of the walls, top of the curtains, and also under the mattress in one of the chalets, the mirror was missing as you can see the pencil marks from where is was put up, one of the plug sockets was very loose, the bathroom toilets was still flushing long after they had been flushed
We did pay £400 for both chalets and was told it was gold package so as you can imagen i thought straight away from the advertisement pictures I was thinking this is a great deal but when I got there I felt they was the most basic chalets and that they was not gold but more like bronze or silver at a push! I saw the brown chalets which was in the advertisement picture I also see the platinum chalets which when you got there you could see it was then with having hot tubs outside I feel like I was very mislead and was disappointed
There was also a plug socket placed behind the pillow of the headboard
I would post loads more pics but it wont let me to show full proof to back up what im saying

The property was amazing
10.0 / 10.0
It was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, had two toilets as well were a group of 4 this made it a lot easier for us all. And one of them was an en suite. The lodge was clean and tidy when we arrived, however some of the cupboards did have some spots that could have done with an extra go over with a cloth. It was warm, and cosy and had everything we needed in there for our week stay
It could have done with an extra bit of cleaning, although it was surface cleaned and appeared very tidy, there were some areas that were a little dirty. The sofa material made it sometimes uncomfortable to sit on, but manageable with quilts and pillows.

Been here many times over the years. Location is lovely
The accommodation was dirty. The pool heating pump was broken and the pool water was filthy and made my granddaughter sick. The seating in the club in the evenings was inadequate for the volume of people.
6.0 / 10.0
The chalet we were initially assigned was not satisfactory, as it was not properly cleaned and was located rather far from the car park, making it difficult to reach in the evening, particularly with a small baby. However, after explaining the situation to the staff, we were kindly offered a caravan instead, which was in excellent condition — clean, modern, and conveniently situated close to the car park.
The chalet we were initially assigned was in very poor condition. It was dirty, dark, and had an unpleasant smell of bacon. The sink was poorly designed, making it impossible to use the hot water tap, as it was placed too close to the porcelain basin.
In addition, the path leading to the chalet was covered with grass and not properly lit, making it unsafe and extremely difficult to access with a stroller, especially in the evening. It was also the very last chalet on the road, which was quite inconvenient considering that I had clearly mentioned in my booking that we were travelling with a baby under one year old. Under these circumstances, we would have expected to be assigned accommodation that was cleaner, closer to the car park, and accessible with a stroller.
Furthermore, the sink had two separate taps — one for cold and one for hot water — unlike the caravan, which had a modern mixer tap. The hot water tap was positioned so close to the basin that it could not be used at all, leaving cold water as the only option.

Lovely woodland setting, set back from road and spaced out sympathetically so as to feel private when inside caravan. Great location for visiting the end of Cornwall. Comfortable, spacious and high ceiling. Good Central heating. Comfy bed.
Reception was in a strange place, had to walk through bar to find. Bigger TV would be nice.

Our caravan was lovely, comfy clean and spacious. Couldn’t fault a thing.
I felt that the facilities on the site such as play area needed a bit of TLC, we saw where the entertainment was in the evening when we were checking in and it didn’t look appealing so we decided not to try the restaurant. Which is a shame as it is a beautiful site and the caravan was amazing.

The location was good and the way the accommodation was laid out not over looking everyone with space between caravans was great.
Although we booked a dog friendly caravan we did not expect it to be as dirty as it was, we arrived to find chewed dog bones behind the curtain and sofa, everything looked like it had been wiped over with the same dirty cloth and the food prep area had missing and lifting worktop surfaces.
Stains on the carpet everywhere and looked like they hadn’t even been attempted to be removed .( very fresh looking)
We had also been upgraded 🤔 goodness knows what from 😱

Site is very quite but that is what we needed, our lodge this time was slightly overlooked so we could not enjoy the outside as much, but other than that we enjoyed our stay. This was the second time this year we had been.
The local transportation for Cornwall has changed the route and you can no longer get a bus to the site or from the site to St Ives and Penzance. This creates problems as you have to navigate down a very steep hill often without a path, so going into the road on a very busy main road. Also families travelling without a car will have to travel up with buggies etc, not very safe. Cornwall transport has not though about this within their plans.

St Ives
We are a family with 2 kids with autism, St Ives Holiday Village managed to ruin our holiday. We stayed for 3 nights in a bronze chalet and from the day we arrived we noticed there wasn't any hot water in the evening. This cause a lot of distress for my boys. Next morning, the toilet was blocked. After letting them know about the problems we spent a nice day at the beach. When we came back in the evening we discovered the same problems, toilet blocked and no hot water in the shower. When we complained at reception they told us there is nothing we can do about it, we need to wait for the morning. We've demanded to move us to a different room, they replied they can't do that as it was full. There wasn't any duty manager there we had to speak with him over the phone. He was very rude and offered us to leave the hotel that very night with a promised refund. It was Saturday at 10 o'clock that night. Where was I supposed to go with 2 kids on the spectrum? We didn't ask for much, just the basic necessities, a working toilet and hot water in the shower. BTW. WE WEREN'T THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM.

It was an alright size but needs work doing to it
The property had no parking and smell like mould plus the property had a dangerous pathway leading down to it which was unlevel and all over the place. As my misses found out when she fall over by twisting her ankle on the slab and wen flying lucky she reached and put her hands out to break her fall but still ended up with bruises and cuts all over her I’m just glad it wasn’t worst could have landed on my 2 year old daughter

There was a strong smell of dampness or something Everytime we entered. Also lack of water plug sockets especially with none in the twin room.

Checking in was easy and the holiday park was central to all the places we visited.
We had a Gold bungalow. It smelled very musty when we arrived. It took a day for the smell to become less intrusive. The sofa was stained and felt dirty. The bungalow could do with a refresh inside and out.

Entertainment was brilliant.
We took our dog the dog hydration stations was dirty water, the tables in the dog area had faulty legs. The main toilets were leaking.wobbly taps.
Swimming was by booking only which didn't say upon booking, water activities wasn't available to book for our stay which was frustrating.

Caravan was lovely and clean. Smelt lush on arrival.
Great places near by lots of things to do off site, the mega slip and slide was worth the visit.

Only location
I stayed at St Ives Holiday Park (check-in: 21 July 2025, around 6 PM) cottage number 270 and have discovered a serious hygiene issue: numerous spiders throughout the cottage, including on beds, walls, and ceilings, making it entirely unfit for purpose.
I reported this around 10 PM at the bar, as reception was closed. I was told the park was fully booked and nothing could be done, but I was offered the option to vacate and receive a refund for unused nights. However, having travelled 3.5 hours from Cardiff with my children (aged 10 and 14), it was not realistic to leave late at night, particularly as we were unfamiliar with the area.
That night, we attempted to clean the cottage ourselves. The next morning, I was told that housekeeping would change the linen and vacuum. After being out for the day, we returned to find no visible change—only some cobwebs removed and windows sprayed. Linen was dropped off later, and we had to change all the beds ourselves.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday evening, we found the same problem: spiders crawling on the beds and walls. I went back to the bar (as reception was again closed) and received the same response—there was nothing more they could do.

Feels like living in the forest
There’s no safe walking path going to the train station so no choice but to take the bus.
The receptionist who welcomed us during our check-in is not that welcoming and some of the information she mentioned are not accurate.
Waste segregation sticker is placed in general waste bin but no bin provided for recyclables.
Too much spider web outside the house near the door and windows and many tiny spiders inside the house specifically in the toilet.
The pool area is not that what I expected as what was advertised and no shower area. The toilet is also not working that time.

Good location if you are travelling around. Also there was good public transport from here. Value for money.
They could clean the place better. I found hair in the bedding, there were spiders and webs everywhere corner in the rooms, it looked as though the bungalow had not been used!

Value for money base for us to visit local area and places of interest. Great bus service from the Village as well.
Price of drinks far too much. Would definitely sell more if cheaper.

Great location
On arrival (((caravan 93))), the caravan smelt like damp dogs in all room, the was dog hair everywhere and floors didnt look like they had been moped...... so, be4 I could even unpack I have to sweep and mop, and use my own linen/room spray everywhere, the was stains on the curtais as u go out that looked like blood, the decking and picnic bench was full of sand, dog hair, cobwebs all over, .........
The was a group of lads that was booting there football late in the evening at cars and caravans, kicking it towards the kiddies play area, they didn't care..... ((there words for what I heard, "don't be carful with the ball, just boot it)) they seemed to be looking for trouble........
I think after dogs have been in the caravan they need to be deep cleaned, or have so many caravans dog friendly and some for none dogs...... just an option.......
But, I wouldn't come bk here again, nor would recommend it, sorry........

The houses were set in a lovely park with plenty of greenery and were conveniently located near the main attractions we wanted to visit in Cornwall. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean, which was a big plus. There was also plenty of on-site parking, which made bringing a car really straightforward.
Many of the issues we encountered were due to the poor cleanliness of the accommodation. Both rooms had concerning brown stains, including one right next to the pillow on a single bed, which we had to clean ourselves. Every bedroom had visible stains on the walls, making it uncomfortable to sleep there and leaving us unsure about what had actually been cleaned. The shower was covered in black mould, which was very unpleasant. The single beds were also unstable, feeling like they were resting on flimsy metal frames, and the mattresses were so thin that they offered little to no comfort for an adult. When we first entered the bungalow, there was a strong smell of damp. At the very least, the room should have been aired out before check-in. Luckily, we only used the room to sleep and didn’t spend much time inside. That said, given how much we paid for what was supposed to be 'Gold' level accommodation, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
