Overall a good visit but with some minor issues needing attention.

The holiday park was in a lovely area with a good bus service . The bar staff were very friendly..

The restaurant was very small . Limited facilities on site . Due to the position of the property it's very dark and smells musty .The outside garden area isn't very appealing. The shower runs hot then suddenly goes cold . Whilst there we had an issue with house flies . Some of the kitchen utensils were not clean . These issues have been fed back to the owner . To her credit the leaking water heater was replaced the same day as were the microwave and damaged lamp shades . She also offered and we accepted a refund of the cleaning fee .

Great stay in woodland.

Plenty of room for the both of us and had everything that we would need. It was clean, beds were comfy with lovely fresh white linen and towels. We watched a couple of the dvd’s available and there were books too. Perfect base whilst being in easy reach of parts of Cornwall that we wanted to explore. Nestled in woodlands and surrounded by nature, lovely 🩵

Only gripe would be the tv channels were few and not seemed to be tuned in properly

I stayed at other holiday home before and the utensils were in better condition. The frying pens in this property were badly scratched and you don’t want to use it. The oven trays are greasy and don’t want to use them. No kitchen towel, shower mat etc. the bedroom doors are not sound proof.

Popular but very quiet... Visits from squirrels

Very quiet, private but also very close to major tourist areas. Come and go as you please. The accommodation has everything you need from boiling hot days to those wash out days. It feels like your own little cottage

This is not to do with the accommodation it self, but rather than park facilities. The park could have better lighting on the paths

When we arrived, there was no toilet paper. My partner went to the toilet after a long journey,and we had trouble finding toilet paper. The bin had no bags in . Flowers were left from the previous stay, and water was so smelly in the vase, that all room was smelling from it. Otherwise, all was OK

Luck of play for kids. No football playground or basketball . Most of the kids were extremely bored there, my son met kids, who couldn't stand to stay there.

Great for a break, but a bit isolated

Having your own bigger space was a plus. We were provided with most things we needed. The cabin was very comfortable.

There is no WiFi in the cabins. If there was air conditioning, we couldn’t find it! Also, there were no paper products like napkins or towels in the kitchen. The staff at the bar and in the entertainment building were not associated with the cabins.

This was a superb place to stay. Perfect for what we wanted. It's close to beaches and there are lots of places to eat nearby. We will definitely be staying here again.

The only downside (And it is not that bad really) is that there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms and bad mobile signal. You can only get WI-FI in the main reception.

perfect! great location. lovely and shaded and cool in the 30 degree heat. the accommodation was lovely and felt like being inside a cottage. perfect bijou for our family holiday. we feel like we found a gem. we’d never been to Cornwall before and we felt like we accidentally ended up in the perfect location with ideal accommodation.

We loved staying at woodland retreat. It has everything you need, kitchen was fully supplied . It was very Clean and had comfortable beds. Location is spot on, only 5 min drive to Hayle beach and there was bus stop 1min away that runs to the centre of St Ives. Would definitely be back.

It was very clean when we arrived, location is spot on. Loved the personal touches of having milk in the fridge and biscuits on the table. Didnt expect tea and coffee too so that was great.

Took us a while to figure out the shower, could do with a sign to say switch to Econ. Very unpleasant firat shower when on "High". Also couldnt get the small heater in the bathroom to work.

Home from home for an excellent holiday

The chalet was well equipped for our needs. The property was well-maintaned and spotlessly clean. Constant hot water, comfortable chairs and beds. In a quiet, shaded position which was ideal during the mini-heatwave we experienced. Excellent bus service enabled us to leave the car on site and travel around the Peninsular.

Location was great. The property was clean and everything we needed was available, Nice pool, good food and evening entertainment. Woodland walk was great!

Unfortunately, we arrived just after 3pm to check in but had to wait 45 minutes as our room was still being cleaned! The radiator in the lounge tripped off after about 5 minutes and this happened throughout our stay. The shower worked fine the first 2 nights but the 3rd night, the water temperature fluctiated considerably which made the shower experience rather uncomfortable. Also the shower head holder was cracked and so couldnt hold the shower head very well. Could be an oversight but worth sorting before new guests come in.

Wonderful Location

The location is fantastic, so quiet and beautifully convenient to local attractions. You can join in activities in the village if you like, there is also a shop for essentials and a bus that goes into St Ives or to Penzance every hour (one tip though is to buy a weekly ticket if you are going to be going backwards and forwards). The accommodation itself is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
