Great central town location.
More neutral smelling cleaning products for the bedding.

Love the feel of the property clean and as it says quirky
The bathroom is poor - really poor use of mastic everywhere, rusty radiator. The fire in the fireplace is electric and there was no extension cable to plug it in. House was very cold on arrival but had a remote thermostat which could have been put on to warm through before our arrival

Very characterful and original cottage finished to a good standard in a very central location.
Be aware if you’re sensitive to noise that the street noise does come in very clearly through the front door and windows as is probably expected from this type of property.
The mattresses are absolutely abysmal, they need replacing. I had to resort to sleeping on the floor as they’re so bad.
The oven baking trays were not clean when we arrived.

The cottage was very cute and homely - decor was spot on
Cupboard shelf wasn’t attached, the shower was tired, welcome pack of milk and biscuits or something would be welcoming

Not being able to open front window on hot day

Good location
Obviously the property is old so if anyone moved around upstairs everyone heard in there rooms as it was so creaky

lots of steep stairs

Lovely property, great location and very good communication from the owner. There is a coop less than 100m from the property which was great for pastries the first morning we were there. Sam answered all our questions quickly and with lots of detail.
The shower looks small but was actually really powerful.
Would highly recommend this place.
Not suitable for anyone a little unsteady on foot or very tall. The stairs are a great feature but very uneven and not a lot of head room.
Parking initially was troublesome but once we worked out the locations and the cut through it was fine.

Great location with shops and pubs close by, lots of character. No on site parking, but plenty of reasonably priced parking very close.
I prefer a much firmer mattress, but that's a subjective opinion.

The location was fantastic, in the heart of this historic market town. The Co-Op and banks are 50m away and despite being central it was quiet. Facilities in the property and cleanliness were good and the rooms of a larger than expected size. Communication with the owner was excellent and questions were answered quickly. All in all the perfect place for our needs on this particular trip.
Nothing. It worked for us. For some the lack of parking at the property may be an issue, but you could leave the car at home and pop up by train. The station is a 10 minute walk away.

Good size bedrooms. Friendly host who was quick to respond to issues. Handy for town - central location and easy parking nearby.
One of the beds was missing the support which keeps the mattress up, so it was unusable for the first night. We sorted it out the next day but as it was only a two-night stay it did affect our overall impression. The fridge was not very clean and the bathroom could do with redecorating.

Great location right in centre of village and excellent bar/restaurant straight across the road (The Queens Head). Plenty of cafes for breakfast as well as a Co-op store on the same street. Cottage was as described and had everything we needed. Bedrooms are over 2 floors and are reachable by a steep staircase which fits in with the "quirky" nature of the cottage and is manageable for all with care. Village itself is very traditional and has some nice pubs serving real ales and good food. Close to Norwich and well served by public transport. All in all a great place to stay!!

Location
The beds and cushions very hard and could not rest well
Kitchen tap drips all the time

Lounge was okay, great size tv but the plug in air fresheners were so strong it was choking us. Could not breathe the air!
NO PARKING / NO SHOWER / BEDROOM 1 HAS A BROKEN MATTRESS/ NO DINING TABLE…
I thought long and hard before writing this as I dont like to slate about things , but I think it’s important to know the following…
Regards the Parking, Sam, you should make a point that there isn’t any in the advertisement as its misleading.
You say its free but then our holiday was ruined having to awaken early to put a ticket on the car at 8am as they cannot be pre purchased. If the weather is bad then you have to pay between 8-6pm but you cant stay parked there (it says on the sign)
Also not great to lug all our bags.
Backlanes carpark… It isn’t just behind the property , its a few minutes, granted , but thats not good especially for those travelling with elderly or childless.
Shower is more a hand held shower with a hook on the wall , which is awkward to control. The bathroom is very tired in decor and the items left by previous users should be thrown out imho.
We sat on the bed i bedroom 1 and the mattress was appalling, could feel the springs.
Finally no table to sit down and eat , just a bar stool area in the kitchen which isn’t adequate.

Excellent cottage, right in the town center, spacious, cosy and very clean.
There is no parking at the property but it wasn't a big issue as there is a parking very near.

It's a fantastic quirky house in a fabulous location. Close to bars, restaurants, and shops. The house was warm and cosy. Very clean. Beds are comfortable. Good WiFi connection. Everything you need for a short stay in a lovely period property. There is no parking outside, but the public car park is just a few meters walk away.
If there is one negative point, it's the stairs. Beware, they are very narrow and difficult to climb if you suffer with knee and back problems like myself. This is expected owing to the age and style of the property. However, I would stop again mainly because of the location and comfort.

Location was perfect for a wedding at Dunston Hall.
Nice white bedding, and all the rooms provided storage space for clothes
Well furnished and presented.
The property was heated well upon arrival.
Clean and tidy.
Sam was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond to any questions.
Unfortunately the mattress in the top room was uncomfy and gave me a bad back/disrupted sleep. Family members who stayed in the other 2 rooms also reported the same in regards to being uncomfy and the only area they'd mark their review down.
I feel the property would benefit in investing in better mattresses.

Very cosy and warm. Comfortable beds. Brilliant location in central Wymondham. Kitchen facilities were great. Easy parking in a public car park, at only £4 for 24 hrs.
Lovely pubs in very easy reach, serving super food.
Sam was quick to communicate how to access the property. Didn't need any other assistance from him as the cottage was in perfect order.
Would definitely stay again.
Key safe was out of reach for my mum who is on the short side and has reduced balance. It was unsafe for her to try to access the key safe.

it was so comfortable and traditional

comfortable and spotlessly clean
all good - please could you consider popping a hook in the top bedroom to be able to hang an item
9.0 / 10.0
Very comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen, spot on.
I mean, the local youths were a bit noisy on Friday night, but that’s hardly limited to this place!
8.0 / 10.0
Heating was good, as was tv and Wi-Fi.
No instructions for oven , guesswork as to temperature as numbers worn off. No Pyrex or similar dishes for cooking. Only 4 stools at kitchen breakfast bar. Grills on radiators could have been cleaner. Quirky staircases - 11 steps to first landing and 11 steps to second landing. No handrails on 2nd flight of stairs. Stairs not ideal for elderly or very young children. Steps up to kitchen, sign needed “mind your head”. Lack of fresh air as no windows would open. Front door opens onto street.
8.0 / 10.0
Large comfy beds with everything you need for a stay.
Only 2 small issues as it was an old olace very sqeeky floor when people moving about at night. And you could hear the neighbours TV very early through the walls

The location was excellent
It would have been much better with an extra toilet and it could have been a little cleaner

The cottage was exactly as described and there was nothing that I disliked.

Property as described and better. Cleanliness was brilliant. Exceptionally well maintained about 300 year old property which had everything as described. The 'quirky' was enchanting & would happily stay again. Briefly spoke with very nice neighbour.
Only one front door key.

Great location in central Wymondham. Characterful property.
Some milk and filter coffee would have been nice. Mattresses on some of the beds were rather softer than we would have liked.
7.0 / 10.0
3 large bedrooms, comfortable lounge.
No onsite parking, public car parks nearby (2 - 3 mins walk), but limited to 4hr stay per visit during office hours, could be an issue if guests wanted to leave a car parked all day.
Cottage lacked a dining area. Breakfast bar only seated 3 people (4 if kitchen door was closed), which is inadequate for a cottage that sleeps 6 people.

We actually live in Wymondham and used the property to provide more bedrooms for our Canadian visitors. They ate with us etc. The cottage was ideal for our requirements though of course rather expensive .
