Apartments at Number 82 The Unthank

Really good location. Good parking. Access to room easy and straightforward. Clean and comfortable bed.

The TV wasn’t working. The curtain tie backs were coming out of the wall. The back pipe to the toilet cistern needed cleaning as looked like it had been sprayed to get rid of limescale but not wiped away properly. Wardrobe door was stuck and had to be yanked hard to open it. There were 2 bright lights outside our window and curtains didn’t shut enough to stop the glow so I found it difficult to sleep.

Lovely property, great location and good, secure on site parking.

No cutlery other than one teaspoon could be found in the apartment.

Everything was good service , fast communication, beautiful place to stay, all facilities accommodated for, would come back again in the future!

Location was great

The lack of communication was alarming. I had to chase down the property to get the codes for check in, ultimately having to call 3 different numbers to speak to someone. When we checked in there was luckily someone in the office but they didn’t check my name or anything, they just handed me the keys to the room. There was no one there on check out so put the keys back in the safety box. There’s a sign in the car park which says you have to register your car number plate with the property or get a fine, there’s no where to do this and no one asked for this on check in so on check out I tried but as no one was there I had to write it on a piece of paper which has about 3 weeks worth of names, numbers plates, dates and days stayed on it which is a GDPR nightmare. I called up later that day and was told ‘it’s ok we just put that there as we used to have issues with people parking’ so I have no idea whether I’m going to get a fine in the post. The scariest part of the lack of communication was that the fire alarm went off in the morning. All guests came outside but there was no member of staff on site to sort it, no one could get hold of any staff to come and sort it. The fire brigade turned up and still no staff there either, the fire brigade located the room which triggered the alarm but no one available to unlock the door. Eventually someone came but what if that was a real fire? There is a £96 security deposit that is taken before the stay, however, it’s not a hold on your card, it’s £96 debited which gets refunded a day or so after you leave.
